I wouldn't worry too much and not worth it for a possible 1%-5% and the funds lost for reselling and purchasing new. I'd wait a year from now for the next gen GPUs.

+1.... So stupid on Nvidias part. All they are going to accomplish, if this is truly indeed what they are doing, is making the next series drop, 3xxx, look worse than it should cause now you've introduced cards that are even closer to those parameters. Which means they have to either come up with a bigger bang 3xxx series of cards or make the next series able to overclock that much more to make them look like they are worth the, im sure crazy, pricing Nvidia will try and pull. Just....... why Nvidia?!?!? Your current lineup is more than capable as it stands, which makes me ask why don't you drop the current cards a few bucks and play the price war till the next actual series drop?

I currently have 2 1080 Tis in SLI (last time I plan on doing SLI for the forseeable future.) as I didn't go after the 20 series when it first came out, there's a chance the super might be an option if there's a real upgrade there. Or just wait for the RTX 2080 Super Plus ULTRA (which is clearly a step above super, but below Super-plus Ultra Mega) Names like that seem more likely that before anyway.
