Hi guys, I have a rig running 4x 1080 Ti FTW. On 3 of 4 cards, the G/P/M LED indicators are White/off/off, respectively (no issues, but i don't know what this means). On my fourth card, the LED indicators are showing Green(solid) / Green-Red (alternating constantly every second) / Green-Red (alternating constantly every second). I'm confused as to what these readouts mean, particularly on that last card (alternating green-red for the P/M LEDs) - does anybody here have any insight into what might be going on? None of these cards are overheating, or overclocked, and all 4 are otherwise operating normally as far as I can see. Other info: non-SLI setup, and all are performing the same parallel computing task. Screenshots attached! Thanks!

Sounds like three of your cards have faulty G/P/M led's. 60C will cause the led's to turn green. 83c will cause the led's to turn red.

What about the fourth one? Is alternating between green/red every second or so a known status ?

Faulty sensors would be my guess if xoc shows temps to be within 60-80c range.

Faulty sensors on ALL four GFX cards??? Is something up with EVGA's QA process, or do I just have really bad luck?

Faulty g/p/m led's on 3 cards. (Ones with white/off/off) Faulty sensors on the forth card only.

That's what I was thinking - although the lights enter this state before the rig even begins loading Windows. FYI, I'm running on a clean 64bit Win 10, on clean NVIDIA drivers (v22.21.13.8476) - even ran DDU beforehand just in case. IDK if it's relevant, but it's an open-air crypto mining rig. GPU temperatures are all below 70C: Mobo: MSI Enthuastic Gaming Intel Z170A (latest BIOS) PSU (x2): EVGA SuperNOVA 850W G3 GPU (x4): EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti FTW3 (latest NVIDIA drivers) Important to mention that the GPUs are all connected to the mobo via PCIe powered riser cables. 1 is connected to a PCIe x16 slot, and 3 are connected to PCIe x1 slots, HOWEVER this doesn't correspond to the distribution of LED light patterns, and swapping around the slots doesn't affect the LED patterns either. The LED light patterns also don't seem to correlate with their distribution across PSUs... I'm stumped!

Definitely not a software issue.

Fully manually delete the XOC folder too during the DDU removal? Definitely not a software issue. The odds seem so unlikely that it's the card?

_Gir_ Fully manually delete the XOC folder too during the DDU removal? Hmm, I never had XOC installed. Perhaps because I installed the drivers straight from NVIDIA (vs EVGA's bundle). Do you consider this a problem? Worth mentioning that I do have MSI Afterburner installed for managing the occasional OC (though I usually keep things stock). I did uninstall this before using DDU though...

Install xoc and let us know if xoc is able to display gpu, power & memory temp correctly.

In XOC you can either click on squares for the temps on the main screen or hit the settings/cog wheel and click on the thermal tab to configure colors.

dricciuto On my fourth card, the LED indicators are showing Green(solid) / Green-Red (alternating constantly every second) / Green-Red (alternating constantly every second).
This could indicate the power & memory temps are fluctuating between 82c (green) & 83c (red).

Wow that freaking solved it - you are the man. Once I installed XOC and fired it up, all LEDs immediately started reporting their proper colors across all 4 cards (seeing 9 greens and 3 blues at the moment!) - something that never occurred for any one of those 4 cards previously. Thank you soooo much. It looks like all sensors are reading normally at this point. Take care!

Unfortunately I'm not sure how to answer that - by firmware do you mean the driver? If so, it looks like that hasn't changed (was 22.21.13.8476 before and after according to Device Manager). If that is not what you are referring to, is there any way to check in retrospect? I'd be glad to.

Sounds like xoc didn't update your cards firmware. XOC will prompt you to update the firmware if the cards firmware needs to be updated. Question... If you shutdown your system and boot it back up do the led's go all crazy like before when booting the system? dricciuto That's what I was thinking - although the lights enter this state before the rig even begins loading Windows.

Really strange, when I shut it down / started it back up, the 3 cards that originally showed white/off/off (G/P/M) are still functioning as intended (blue/blue/blue). However the 4th one (the one with the red/green blinking issue) goes back to having a blinking issue, although this time it is alternating between red, green, and blue! The clincher is that I can't get this problem with the 4th card to go away again, even after I launch XOC... Per XOC, all sensors are functioning normally on all cards

Hey the same thing happened with my 1080 FTW2. When I installed the card for the first time all LEDs lit up except GPM. But when I installed the XOC, GMP LEDs lit up.
