Here to make my first official post...
After folding with sub-par laptops off and on when I could, I finally made the plunge on Nov. 18th and with the help and guidance of a great friend, I built my first PC! I went from 11k total points to 500K PPD on average and the first 24 hours of the TZC I was able to turn in a run of 859k!
I'm happy to be here, and after lurking on the threads for the past ten days, I'm also happy to start being a member of this community!

not sure if anyone mentioned this before but there is a break in period for the 1070ti's
What you need to do is after you have let it run for 24 hours is turn off your rig and let it sit for 8, no ,,, 9 days
You can thank me then when you see how much better it performs.
All of the above has been brought to you by the eastern/pacific alliance and is of course total bs
(or is it? , we shouldn't let him void the warranty on that new card)
Man, that is strange, it coincides with the TZC....chef_lucid, keep an eye on this guy^^. He's rumored to be a smarty pants like me.

Crazy how much of a difference my new system has made in terms of ppd. Went from 80k-ish PPD on a 980X OC'ed to 4.6Ghz with 780TI Superclocked in 3 way SLI to 1.5-1.6mil PPD on a 9900k OC'ed to 5Ghz on a single RTX2080 XC Ultra.
