    I wouldn't have known myself if I hadn't read a Computex 2023 article.

Here's the info on the hot fix driver.

GeForce Hotfix display driver version 536.09 is based on our latest Game Ready Driver 535.98.The hotfix addresses the following issue:
When using multiple monitors which support adaptive sync, users may see random flicker on certain displays when G-SYNC is enabled after updating to driver 535.98 [4138119]

Debating whether to install the hotfix or not.  My main monitor is FreeSync enabled and my old main now secondary is a GSync but I'm not seeing any obvious flickering so far on the 535 driver.  Installed it yesterday for D4 early access use.  Guess I'll just keep an eye on it.

With hotfixes I think it's ok to just know what the issue that was being addressed was and as long as you know what games are running before the hot fix like I think it's fine to wait unless you are experiencing the issue. Sometimes if you notice performance drops it's also good to upgrade to the hot fix since sometimes an undocumented fix happens or a game patch might only work on the hot fix driver.

I ended up installing it because I thought I was seeing a flickering with Diablo 4 when clicking back and forth between monitors.  However it's either not the same thing they fixed with the hotfix, or what I think is going on since I haven't actually used it much is that Frame Generation on 4000 series turns off or something when you click out of an app and kicks back in when you go back (game is set to 90fps both for foreground and background fps).  So the "flicker" I saw might just be a split-second distortion (or just a bug in the game) from that.

Update, 6 days and 2 patches later, on MSFS and still runs fine . Flew between buildings in NYC and got the 4090 to dip into the mid 60s a few times, Ultra +200 lod at 7680×1440. 89-92 most places in the world, looks like it could have lost a couple fps here or there but no crashes.
