I guess damaged components are not covered in the warranty... I will never buy closed loop water cooled components that do not cover other components that are damaged if there is a leak. Corsair covers damage to other components. Based on EVGA ignoring my question, it sounds like they do not.

+1 good question
If Corsair comes out with one of these units I am all in if only corsair would move into motherboard and gpus, but do not see that happening for some time if at all.

No, but Corsair covers water damage from their CPU units. This is a GPU liquid cooler... You know very well that a small percentage of them will leak. Does anyone want to risk losing thousands of dollars on other hardware, if EVGA is is not going to cover water damage to other components? I don't.

Someone replied since I asked my question... Take my word Chip, they don't cover it. That, or they are scrambling because they have yet to even think about this scenario... Which I wouldn't be surprised either. In either case, I would NOT buy this until we got some answers... Evga is great with graphics cards, but other devices... Yeah, I need assurance that my other high-end components are not going to be written off if this thing fails.

I've asked questions. Doesn't mean I expect immediate answers. Sometimes my answers get skipped then answered weeks later. Name me 1 single GPU vendor that actually answers whiney questions on their customers forums? Last time I check in the past 10 years, only Jacob from EVGA does. Give him some time.

lmao what a great response. What makes you think I wasn't lingering for years before I signed up? What does that have to do with anything? Want to start comparing household incomes now or what cars we drive? Grow up.

I asked a legit question. If they had such a warranty yet, they WOULD have responded instantly. This shows 1: They have yet to think about this. OR 2: They thought about it and were wishing that you did not.

This is trolling -> My computer system is about 3x more expensive than yours. That means I'm better than you and I know more about what I'm talking about.

Anyway it was a good question. I would assume Jacob would have to be very careful about answering your question since this would be a very special warranty-type situation they've never dealt with before since this is their first AIO GPU. He could maybe get in abig trouble if he claims it's covered and it's not. Probably needs some higher-ups to get clarification on this one. I'm curious to know as well since I was going to put 4 of these in my computer. Unfortunately there's no other GPU vendors who have an AIO GPU except Inno3D which don't seem to sell a lot and aren't available in North America.

Exactly, so why are we having this discussion. EVGA obviously have yet to think about this, OR they would have an instant response.... BTW, yes, I take my computer components VERY seriously after sinking thousands of dollars into them. We all know what liquid damage can do to all that. Like my Corsair liquid CPU cooler, I want some sort of assurance that I will be covered if EVGA's liquid GPU cooler leaks.

Edit: no I am not that person, not sure what that has to do with anything

I'll add something. Be careful about getting the Inno3D AIO GPUs such as the 980 or the Titan X. It's actually 2.5 slots big not 2 like the EVGA. I was about to pull the trigger on 4 of them then I realized it said it was only SLI 2 way compatible. Didn't make sense so had to dig a little further to see they were officially quoted as 3 slots even though the pictures make them look like 2. Plus you can't beat EVGAs warranty and other goodies. I literally waited over 2 months for these to come out then BAM the Titan X came out. My system runs loud and hot though I REALLY want these for the Titan X...

You still have not added anything. Please, bug off.

The EVGA warranty has become worse over the years... Yes, now transferable, but also no longer lifetime. However, their customer service has been pretty good. However, never trust anyone with potential water damage on your other components. Sorry, if I come across harsh, but someone needs to ask the tough questions here. We need to be asking the question, what if this thing leaks. We know from other pre-configured "closed loop" coolers, that a certain percentage WILL leak.

It is a very good question and one that does need to be answered.

I hope that it does. Honestly, I don't care if even negative attention is drawn to this thread. We need this answer before people get it answered the hard way.

I actually want to commend EVGA on the $650 pricing on this thing. This card has faster clocks than a 980FTW @ $580 and the same clocks as a $700 classified and an $800 hydro copper. Geeze the stock superclocked 980 is $620 right now. You’re only paying $30 more for faster clocks, a radiator, a fan, piping, a pump, & fluid. Not a bad deal. The new shroud design superclocked is only $570 though but still slower clocks & only $80 cheaper. Plus of course you get better cooling & system sound than all the GPUs I mentioned (except the hydro copper of course assuming its a beefy cooling system).

This is the main reason why I don’t want to do a full custom loop system. Too much maintenance, too expensive, too much loss of resale value, too many things you need to measure and cut, and too much risk of leaks. I’ve done it before and it was nothing but headaches. I honestly believe these AIO GPUs are the future of GPU cooling just like how the CPU AIOs are skyrocketing in popularity. I specifically built my case for 4 AIO GPUs. It has 6 radiator spaces at the top. 2 for the 240mm AIO CPU, and 4 for 120mm AIO GPUs.

Yup it's a very good price.  Just can't seem to find it in the UK at the moment.

I think it's probably cheaper than the classified as it's a reference card with a cooler (a damn good one at that!) where as the Classified is all custom.

I would love one of these on my titan x's, but probably would just deal with air cause i don't have much room for extra radiators all over it. (already have a corsair one for my CPU)

My question, regarding the warranty covering water damaged components if a leak occurs, was answered. Not too sure that the answer makes me feel secure enough to buy one of these.

Hi chrisdglong,

In the extremely unlikely event that this occurs, then it will be reviewed on an individual case by case basis.

Package for EVGA GTX980 Hybrid is E X C E L L E N T!
I can't describe how I like to see such nicely packed hardware.
But I'm very sad because EVGA don't want to treat every special card on that way.
GTX780Ti K|NGP|N, 980 K|NGP|N, TITAN X Superclocked, all of them deserve such nice package.

Anyone got an installation video or the instructions for the upgrade kits they are selling, I am sitting on buying two of them but want to see if it's really that simple.

Awesome, well over due.
I think pre-built closed loops are the future of cooling solutions.

I had to share this on my facebook.

Awesome solution EVGA.

Is that water loop made by Corsair? Their new CPU coolers use that braided tubing too.
