GeForce HotFix driver version 376.60

This is GeForce Hot Fix driver version 376.60 that addresses the following:
Battlefield 1 crash on some Kepler based GPUs          Dark puddles in Battlefield 1          Random black screen in DOTA 2

More information about Hot fix drivers:

A GeForce driver is an incredibly complex piece of software, We have an army of software engineers constantly adding features and fixing bugs. These changes are checked into the main driver branches, which are eventually run through a massive QA process and released.

Since we have so many changes being checked in, we usually try to align driver releases with significant game or product releases. This process has served us pretty well over the years but it has one significant weakness. Sometimes a change that is important to many users might end up sitting and waiting until we are able to release the driver.

The GeForce Hotfix driver is our way to trying to get some of these fixes out to you more quickly. These drivers are basically the same as the previous released version, with a small number of additional targeted fixes. The fixes that make it in are based in part on your feedback in the Driver Feedback threads and partly on how realistic it is for us to quickly address them. These fixes (and many more) will be incorporated into the next official driver release, at which time the Hotfix driver will be taken down.

To be sure, these Hotfix drivers are beta, optional and provided as-is. They are run through a much abbreviated QA process. The sole reason they exist is to get fixes out to you more quickly. The safest option is to wait for the next WHQL certified driver. But we know that many of you are willing to try these out.

These HotFix drivers represent a lot of additional work by our engineering teams, I hope they provide value for you. We’ll try it out and see if people like the idea and want us to continue.

Only just started folding with this hotfix 376.60 on my 970 FTW.  First completed project was an 11402, which I've also folded with 372.90 & 376.48 driver versions.  It averaged 305,000ppd with 376.60 vs about 342,142ppd on 372.90 & 376.48.

    Rebuild 2.0 Specs:  Phantek's Enthoo Pro Full Tower case * Gigabyte Z690 Gaming X DDR4 motherboard * Intel i9-13900KS CPU with Kraken X63 AIO * WIN 11 PRO 64bit * MSI 4070 Ti Gaming X Trio GPU * Corsair Vengeance 64GB(4x16GB) RAM * Solidigm P44 Pro 2TB M.2 NVMe SSD (Win11 Pro) + Intel 665p 1TB M.2 NVMe (storage) + Samsung 990 Pro 2TB M.2 NVMe (storage) + Samsung 980 1TB M.2 NVMe (Ubuntu) * Seasonic Vertex GX-1200 1200W ATX 3.0 PSU * Samsung 50 inch QN90A 4K TV/monitor * FANS: Bitfenix Spectre Pro 200mm front intake + 2x Noctua NF-A14 Industrial PPC 140mm exhaust on Kraken X63 radiator + 1 Noctua NF-A12 120mm rear intake

Most reason for newer drivers are for the Gamers, that is so they can play newer games that are coming out.
I game a little but not on my GTX 1080 or GTX 980 Cards, I leave the Gaming on my GTX Titan Rig at least until the X299 or what ever they call it comes out.
So at the end of this year or the start of the next I will move on and update my gaming rig.

if you're not playing any of the most recent games, what's the best driver for folding? 372.90? Newest game I'm playing atm is Skyrim: SE
I'm using 376.60 right now, and it seems to work with the games I'm playing well, not that I'm playing anything that recent.

In any case I saw that that released a 378.09 Linux and friends driver a few days ago, and Resident evil 7 is coming out on Tuesday, so the chance of getting a new driver to test very soon seems high.

I still think Driver 372.90 is the best for Folding Only But!

Or Folding & playing older games.  Definitely not liking the ppd drop I'm seeing from 376.60 drivers, consistently 30,000 to 45,000 ppd lower than either 376.48 or 372.90 on my 970 FTW.   Would mean 1 or even 2 extra days to complete the 3 million points mark.  Card is also running hotter with the 376.60 drivers ???  Have 4 alerts of GPU temps going over 68C in the past 24 hours from CAM.  Usually don't get that many in a month unless I'm testing overclocking with Furmark / Kombustor.

Here's the matched projects from HFM:

Also similar results vs 376.48 projects that finished before I installed HFM

CAM is monitoring software for my NZXT Kraken water cooler that keeps my GPU on the cooler side of hot.

Downloading those now, I see in release notes under "Windows 10 Fixed Issues" section it says " [Folding @ Home] Work unit errors occur. [200262613/1831430]"

I did have one Failed WU so I had to reduce the OC on one of my Lemon GTX 1080 Cards.
I have one set to 2113MHz and the Lemon Card to 1974MHz.

overnight folding was stable on my two gtx 1080's in SLI and a 6700k getting 1.4million ppd on the 378.49 driver.

I did have one Failed WU so I had to reduce the OC on one of my Lemon GTX 1080 Cards.
I have one set to 2113MHz and the Lemon Card to 1974MHz.

Yeah I just let the GPU boast do the overclocking.  That way do not have that issue.

So you set GPU Boost On and leave it on?
    What are your Clock Speeds?

My Boost Clocks show 19xxMHz on my good card and 18xxMHz on my Lemon card.

    Besides issues reported above.

Anyone getting Better PPD with this driver ?

As far as errors/failed WU go:

I've had some ---> no changes to my system, running well for weeks --> then bang, failed WU to the point of excess failure and a new WU gets assigned and back to no issue for weeks --> I'm guessing some WU are just plan BAD

This may be true just having some bad WU and they are new P# as well.
I think this driver is better than Driver 372.90.
My normal Run is back over 2,5xx,xxx.x PPD and under Driver 372.90 I was only running 2,4xx,xxx.x PPD.   My HFM

No errors so far, PPD wise, 372.90 still best if your only folding or running games more than a year old.
