When did you place your order if you don't mind me asking? I purchased a vanilla EVGA titan X from Amazon over 3 weeks ago and I still haven't heard anything.

EDIT:
Never mind. Saw the previous post. Thanks guys!

Damn, I must be unlucky. I placed my order from Amazon on the 24th. Still no word. I check my emails like every 20 minutes hoping to get shipping info. I hate not having any clue.

Yeah that's the worst part.. waiting with NO updates or info as to when.

Every time I order something and it ships via FedEx, he comes by our block around 1-2pm. Today.. since my card was on his truck, of course, he didn't show up until 7pm. :|

A couple observations of mine so far..

- Nicely packed with bubble foam on both sides
- Back of the card has what looks like a "blotch of fogginess" spots towards the back
- With a room temp around 79F, the card idles at 32c @30% fan speed
- GPU-Z reports an ASIC quality of 75.7 - I don't really think this number matters. I've had cards from 51% all the way to 83% and they all overclocked differently.

EDIT:
- Under load the card will hit 84c in Valley with the fan profile set to auto
- Under load with the fan profile set to mimic 30c/30rpm, 50c/50rpm, etc., it reaches 71c
- I can get a max boost overclock of 1402MHz so far with the profile shown above. At stock fan profile, it will throttle down to 1350-1380MHz
- I'm going to re-paste it tonight with MX4 and see how that fares

I'm happy to announce I successfully installed a 980 AIO on a Titan X. I have a 3rd Titan X coming in the next day or two and 3 AIO units in total. I will post pics and benchmarks then.

I did a simple benchmark test with Heaven 1.0. I have both cards overclocked to about 1400mhz with max power target, temp target, overvolt, ect.

My normal Titan X I ran the GPU fan at a static 100% which is around 4,800RPM (LOUD)
My AIO Titan X I ran the GPU fan at a static 20% which is around 1,000RPM (quiet)
I'm using a Corsair SP120 quiet edition running at a static 700RPM for the AIO radiator (quiet)

My AIO Titan X runs 20C+ cooler and obviously 10x quieter than the other Titan X running. I'm sure the difference would be 30C+ if both fans were running the same speed. More to come in a few days.

Idle with custom fan profile is 38C, Load is 74C.

I bet these temp variances between people's cards have to do with the TIM. If you're open to repasting it, I bet you'll see similar temps like the "good" cards are seeing. I know I plan to do that initially (If I'm in the same boat as you) since I'll be waiting a couple months while I acquire the rest of my WC parts.

I replaced the TIM with AS5 and still hot. =/

There's almost no need to. The instruction booklet on how to do this on the 980 is exactly the same for the Titan X. They have the same exact shroud & bracket.

If you look closely, My Titan X says EVGA GTX 980 on the shroud. That's the only difference lol. Good thing my case doesn't have a window. EVGA may release a generic EVGA shroud or even a Titan X shroud but I honesltly wouldn't count on it since Nvidia has all their vendors locked down with the stock coolers just like the last Titan. I'm assuming EVGA & Nvidia have an exclusive and expensive contract to allow them to make the Hydro Coppers but I wouldn't hold your breath on an AIO for the Titan X.

My SC Titan X is running around 1316mhz out of the box at full load. This is viewed in EVGA prescision X. I haven't applied any OC to it, so this is interesting to me.

It runs hot at full load, I am getting 82 - 83c when running the Witcher 2 at 2160p.(no uber sampling, everything else at max) FPS jumps around between 48 - 55 fps.

Actually that's not hot at all for such premium and strong graphic chip overclocked 15%.
That's fine, AMD R9-290X work on 10C higher temps on reference clock.
80C is expected temp for any reference cards as GTX580, TITAN Black and TITAN X.
I can bet with closed case panel card can't influence on ambient temps at all and with manual fan profile on 80% temps will be 75-80C and that's perfect, even 2-3 lower in someone replace thermal paste with MX-4, some premium thermal pads and install backplate.

You can find on Performance PC probably I don't have personal experience but I read people talk about that's FujiPoli.
You should pay attention on size. I'm not sure but they sell them in different size and thickness.

performance pcs if you're in the u.s. fujipoly thermal pads are the best but are expensive.

It's not problem with EVGA you can install better, but what If GIGABYTE no thermal pads inside.
You can cry only, you can't even check. That's good because people can't know what is inside.

I would take 2 vga titan X of EVGA but are currently unavailable in europe.
So what if I take an other brand? Zotac / gigabyte / asus / msi?

You will have 150MHz less clock, 15% slower TITAN X if you thought to buy EVGA TITAN X Superclocked version.
And I'm not sure is it possible to flash ASUS TITAN X with EVGA Superclocked BIOS. EVGA TITAN X is possible to flash with Superclocked BIOS if card can resist same clock. And you will not have backplate, only EVGA TITAN X and TITAN X Superclocked will have available backplate for 19-20$.

You can flash the Asus card, you just need to disable the bios protection with the appropriate nvflash command.

That mean with standard procedure you can flash card from one manufacturer with BIOS from completely other brand...
I didn't know that... But again TPU get sample capable to OC only 110MHz...
That card will crash with SC BIOS and probably at the end stable clock would be 90-100MHz...
Never mind this whole year is ASUS Anniversary, they have fastest GTX980, maybe they launch and fastest GM200 6GB...
They should present and special X99 motherboard for Anniversary.
I will read what customers say for their 980 Golden if no crashes maybe I will think about GM200 from ASUS.
I don't mean on standard fault cards, I mean if ASUS didn't sold card capable to work on lower speed but not on advertised.

I went to replace my TIM earlier. Well.. it looks like someone decided to be very lazy with my card. :| I'm missing 7 thermal pads for the memory. Not cool.

THIS is why I inspect and retim every single card BEFORE I use it, and people say it is a waste of time. There have been users finding no TIM, thermal pads still in the plastic and no thermal pads.. Why is verifying that it is done correct a waste of time is what we should all ask.

Cancelled both cards from Amazon due to New Egg coming through.  BTW first New Egg SC card shipped from Baldwin Park, CA.  Second card from Edison, NJ.

New Egg requires signatures and my coworker called off for this afternoon, forcing me into a 12 hour shift => not going to be home to sign for delivery.  Setup a UPC My Choice account and waived the signature so I don't have to chase down the package for days on end.  /cheer

If thermal pads are missing, someone has opened your card prior to your receiving it. The photo you posted show telltale signs on the baseplate of the presence of all of the pads - that oily residue.

I saw that too.  I wonder if that was a demo card or test sample??
