Hey guys, first time posting here. I have a GTX 980 Ti in my PC that won't allow the PC to boot. When I unplug the power from the card, the PC boots normally, and all is fine. However, if I plug in the 8 pin and 6 pin connector, my MB LED shows error code 15 for about 30 seconds, then my PC restarts, and then it justs hangs on error code 62. Anyone ever face this problem. Is my very cool card dead :(

Ok my bad, after reading around some, the code is actually b2, not 62. Still doesn't boot though.

Here are some things you can try...

#1 Try testing the card in another pci-e slot.
#2 Try testing a different video card in your system using the same pci-e slot that gives the b2 error.
#3 Try testing the 980 ti in different known good working system.

Tested another GPU as well as the 980 on another computer. My GTX 560 GPU gave display while the 980 gave no display. Anything else I can try?

So the 980 ti worked fine in another system? If yes, it sounds like your problem could be coming from a bios bug. Try some older bios versions if you haven't already updated both the bios's on your board to the very latest version.

And if no? The GTX 980 Ti does not work in another system, which is giving me an idea of it's fate :(

If 980 ti didn't work in another system than the card is most likely the issue.

If the card is under warranty you can rma it.

EVGA tells me the card is from a pre-built system, which means it only has 1 year warrenty. The latest I could have RMA'd it was 2016. That's the reason I'm desperate for solutions

Since you're out of warranty you could try baking the card in the oven. https://www.overclockers.com/the-oven-trick-repairing-your-broken-video-card-with-an-oven/

Note: Bake the card with the gpu die facing upwards instead of downwards as show.

Seems dangerous, but worth a try for a $500 GPU.

Hey Sajin, after some research, I've decided not to bake it right now, and will save that option for a last resort. Do you know if EVGA does any paid repairs?
