Hi guys,

I got this beauty today, but the heatsink seems to be damaged (lightly).
Anything to worry about? The box was undamaged.

I wouldn't think it would harm anything but if you're unhappy I'm sure they can replace it if necessary.

Problem is  any physical damage will get any future RMA's declined by EVGA .

I would document this fully & return it for exchange/ refund. Even though it may work fine right now.

Usually returning the card to the store is quicker. It can take up to a week or more if you send the card back to EVGA. If they won't exchange it, call EVGA and start an RMA.

Damage to the heatsink shouldn't stop evga from rma'ing the card. You will most likely be charged a service fee to have the heatsink replaced since the heatsink is damaged. PCB physical damage is the only thing that would stop evga from rma'ing a card.

Yes, damaged cards should be returned soon as possible to avoid any possible problems in the future. Let us know the outcome.

clearly an RMA, that's a bad quality control issue if the package was not damaged.

Honestly, you have nothing to worry about at all. I dont recall ever receiving a heatsink with perfectly aligned aluminum fins, ever.

The local store said (after one month of waiting) that EVGA was holding the card back. I will get it next monday (hopefully).
