iBruce The EVGA GTX 980 K|ngp|n has all the colors for my upcoming X99 water build, gunmetal gray, clear, nickel, black, and white LEDs, so perfect. CaseLabs S8S Limited Edition (they only made 30) just arrived for the build, It's tri-tone, has a gunmetal and white interior with four black exterior panels. Also got the gunmetal exterior panels to update the chassis at any time, it's beautiful inside, thank you CaseLabs.
I like the Thermaltake Core X9 better
I give up, your Thermaltake wins.

So what are the water block options at the moment for these or the time-frame we can expect (from past experience) on getting one?

I'm still hoping for an EVGA logo-type block like the 980 Hydro Copper uses, and maybe it will have a K|ngp|n designation also, recessed and smaller, and maybe RGB LEDs still able to run off the card, to the water block. That would be sweet.

Oh that would be a god-send.....wow.....I'll set my hopes on just a full block but what you described is what I'm guessing most everyone wants.

kot0005 Australia is first for the first time! I am really surprised. But unfortunately its $200 more than the Classy, so not really worth it with AMD's new cards coming soon. They have these in the warehouse!! If anyone can give me free AU $1099. I can go and buy this and do a full unboxing. hahahahah.
http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=416&products_id=30812&zenid=68665382d7c90385e262ca6a357cc254
The real question is: Is this a sham, where they advertise them available for an extra $249usd ($200 difference in AUS, for something that cost $49 extra in other places) just to get your business? Since the Pre-Order just finished, you may want to hold off on ordering something that hasn't been officially released. Don't forget, many times people will post these things at an extremely high price over stock in hopes of stealing your money without actually having them in stock. Someone could have pre-ordered a few and getting ready to make bank off of someone who didn't get in on the pre-order. *I will add, if this is legit and it isn't someone simply trying to make extra bank, that is awesome. Some things are too good to be true though, so buyers should proceed with caution either way.

I hear someone talk about AMD... don't please... At least until they become competition. In 2015/2016 more games will show up with more realistic gaming on GeForce and available PhysX. Missing PhysX on Radeon for me is similar deficiency like you can't see all colors or Radeons. Simply they are not same, one graphic processor is capable to give you something more from realistic and that is not Radeon.

I'm buying the 980 K|ngp|n minute one from Newegg or EVGA direct whomever has it first the moment they become available. Too bad we don't get the t-shirt, that's only for EVGA registered customers with pre-orders I guess.

I would like full plexi block too but and this is OK. This block should be opened probably more often and cleaned, but from side plexi is not visible. I like this block, maybe they could cut of peace in corner near power connectors but EKWB probably tried with 3D model both versions. Better than 780 Classy.

FYI, pccasegear.com is basically Australia's version of newegg, probably the biggest online Hardware supplier in Australia. I would guesstimate their market share would be close to 70%. There are also other resellers of EVGA products here but PC Case Gear is probably be the most prolific. If I made comments like yours about newegg, I'm pretty sure what your responses would be lol. As far as the retail price is concerned, yeah it sucks what we have to pay but resellers have to make coin. The exchange rate, shipping, import duty and our 10% GST (Goods and Services Tax which is applicable to any shipment over AU$1000) all add to the inflated prices we pay over here. Pretty much the first time EVER we have had a new release GPU line before the US and although PC Case Gear would be high on EVGA's "MUST LOOK AFTER" list as far as resellers go, it is still very surprising. Please keep this up EVGA. Although the price is far from appealing, it is still great to see.

I’m using a horizontally mounted motherboard, so the EK water block will mount vertically and be in “full view” through the left side window, and my chassis interior is so short (by design) the K|ngp|n 980 card and block will only have about 2inches, maybe less, clearance below a full top window, so maybe I’m being overly particular since the 980 K|ngp|n is such a large card and will easily be the main featured component in my X99 build. With this 980 Classified block, I really don’t like the metal plate on the front with all the fasteners combined with the plexi, I hope the 980 K|ngp|n block is ALL Plexi from end to end taking full aesthetic advantage of its single slot form factor and the single slot adapter that comes included in the box. I think the full plexi with nickel or full plexi nickel with black metal cover like the 980 Hydro Copper with E V G A logo and/or a K|ngp|n logo with full RGB LED capabilities would add more anticipated and desired design elements, after all the 980 K|ngp|n water block should stand out and above the other EVGA/EK offerings and remain the flagship 980 card in every aspect i.e. performance, efficiency, and of course - design.

One thing everyone needs to understand. We (EK) don't choose to put that stainless plate on the block because we think it looks good. The plate is there because there's chokes in-between rows of chips that needs to be cooled and the only way to get the coolant to those far right chips is to force the coolant out of the block by a wide but shallow channel (where the stainless plate is) to go cool those chips and then return to the main part of the block the same way. Take a look at the Classy PCB and you will see what I mean. You can see the full column of capacitors and chokes that we need to go over. Here's a standard 980 PCB As you can see there's no capacitors or chokes in the way and this is why there's no stainless plate on the EK-FC980 GTX blocks or on the EVGA HC blocks.

Also, since the same column of capacitors and chokes is present on the KPE PCB I'm not sure the KPE HC block will look like the 980 HC block.
