GTX 970 and GSync?

Research online isn't helping me much, but does the GTX 970 (Specifically the FTW ACX 2.0) support GSync? The EVGA spec sheet says it does, but nothing I can find online says the 970s actually support it, and I can't enable it on my Freesync (G-Sync compatible) monitor. The option doesn't even show up in nVidia settings.

    Any suggestions on why GSync can't be enabled, then?

    Driver issue or monitor isn’t compatible.

    If anyone ever runs into a similar issue, I suspect that the 970 is bugged - or at least mine was. I yanked all my drivers with DDU, removed the 970, installed a 2080TI FE and installed the drivers again - now GSync works. Same monitor, same cables, etc. 
     
    At least now everything works.

    Runs fine on my 970

    It should be working fine. What cable did you use for the 970 and what monitor?

    G-Sync compatible requires at least 10-series GPU. Native G-sync runs on 600 series and newer.

    980Ti works great in Native G-Sync.

    oh I thought only 10 series is oldest model for G-sync.
