I've searched the web and this forum and have not found the answer, but I did look.

The 780ti SC has 2 power cords (6 and 8 pins respectively).  They both have two connectors for the power supply to connect into.

Do I connect both power connectors to the power supply (2 power connections for each cable) or just one power connection for each cable?

Thanks for the help,
Chris

    Welcome to the EVGA forums

BOTH of the connection on EACH adaptor (I assume thats what your asking) need to be used

*Your powersupply "should" have the correct cables labled "PCIE" both the 6pin and a 8pin (6+2pin)
Please list the make and model number of your PSU so I can look it up and see why your having to use the adaptors (example below)

    Thanks for your reply,

The power supply is corsair rm850.

There aren't any adapters, just the power cables that came with the card (2 cables, one 6 pin and one 8 pin. Each cable has 2 "pigtails" for a combined total of 4 connections to the power supply.

To clarify my understanding, you recommend connecting all 4 power connections to the power supply, which makes sense, but with a card this expensive, I wanted to be sure.

I appreciate you taking the time to reply and help me out!

The adaptors that came in the box with the videocard should not really be used, because your power supply HAS the CORRECT cables available

Just connect the 6pin and 8pin marked PCIE (from the above cables that came with your PSU) to your powersupply, and then to your card.
Its the CORRECT way to connect your expensive videocard and prevent issues

Thanks. I just wish it was for me, sadly, it's my son's and he's already grounded me from playing on his system <sigh>.

As I expected, your solution worked perfectly, thanks a lot for the help!
