I bought a GTX 1650 EVGA, installed my Dell XPS 8300 computer, but it didn't start. The computer is from 2011, so the BIOS is old.

Does anyone know what may be happening?

Important highlight:

1) I put in a more powerful power supply, believing that was it. Was not.

2) The computer is okay and runs perfectly on the onboard videocard. Just with a new video card does not work.

Bios support isn't there for your card.

Let me make it clear: I have no conviction if it's a BIOS issue.

The point is that the card is not being recognized by my computer.

Is there any other guess what it could be or even some test I could do?

Or should I change the video card?

Make sure your BIOS is up to date.  Check and see if there are any other drivers needed, etc.

You could test the card in another newer pc to confirm it doesn't have any problems.

It is a good idea, but I don't have another PC here to do it

    There's your problem.

The card is designed for UEFI firmware.  Your motherboard uses old-fashion BIOS.  It is not compatible.

You might as well sell the video card, return the card for a refund, or find another use for it.

    Wow, what a sad news.

OK thank you. I'll ask for the refund - I still have the deadline.
