Hi,
I just bought a new 1080Ti and looking at the iCX sensor I noticed PWR4 and MEM2 where getting really toasty (80-90º):

So, I just looked at the side of my gpu and noticed that there's no double thermal pad in "sandwich" where those sensors are, and looking at youtube videos people have those:

When I opened mine to check....

Those white pads have the girth of a blank paper not even 0.3mm, they dont touch the radiator therefore it doesn't even have passive cooling.....
I used an old ones from my old gtx 560 (1mm thick probably) as a temporal solution and these are the new temperatures:

Almost 12º less in both sensors, so I dont want to send my gpu for a RMA as its new and I dont want to be without it for a month.... Can EVGA send me a pair of thermal pads to replace my temporal solution and fix the gpu?

Thanks for your attention. I'm looking forward for your reply,
Javier.

Look at this Post:  How to apply the Thermal Pads for the 1070/1080 Cards

any that are available with - Thermal conductivity: 3.5 W/mK - or better

I've never seen a good comparison that showed the actual data of using "better" thermal pads -----> for basic computing I do not know if you could get More frames /sec.  When chasing benchmark world records Any little improvement can help

Thank you but there doesnt explain the thickness needed for the baseplate of a ftw3... I just send a customer service email, I think I should have done that before...
    Thanks anyways!

    Just received an answer:

    Hello Javier,

thank you for contacting our support.

We will gladly inform you below the info, you need.

Unfortunately, we are not able to provide any thermal pads, which can solve the problem.
However, here are the Infos, where you can get the thermal pads from the right retailer.

The thickness of the Thermal Pads are 1.25mm and
we recommend to a solution, which provides 1.2W/mK thermal conductivity and more.

If you have any further question, please contact us again.

    Best regards,

    Manuel - EVGA Customer Support

I guess I have to spend 10-15€ to buy them... I really though evga would send me them as its a manufacturing defect.

OK, but it probably cost more than that to send the card in for an RMA
