Can anyone help me with this, please? I am bit of noob, but I'll provide all info if needed. For start these are my specs:CPU: Intel Core I7 6700KBoard: ASUS Maximus VIII HeroRAM: 16GB DDR4Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 System: Win10 64bitThanks a lot!

Are you using EVGA Precision? Try disabling power monitoring for GPU1 in the OSD settings. This resolved all stuttering for me. Someone else on these forums posted about this solution a long time ago but I can't find the link to copy for you.

That was because of the infamous nvidia 388.13 drivers.. wonder if windows installed those drivers for him? What nvidia drivers are you using and what monitor and screen resolution/refresh rate are you runing? I'm using a simular rig.

Sounds software related at first glance. Are you using a gsync monitor? What's your driver version?

Hi, thanks for feedback.
I uninstalled NVIDIA Experience and it seems some of the games are running better. But not all of them.
I am not using EVGA Precision. NVIDIA drivers version is 391.01
I have Dell U2715H monitor, running on 2560x1440/60Hz resolution with driver version 1.0.0.0 (just from windows ?) Thx

Can you list some of the games? I remember I had similar issues on my older PC because the standard sound format of my soundcard was too high (I use 192000Hz) and that caused this issue by me back then for some older games. Is this setup a brand new one and you have the issues from the beginning on or did they start recently?

For some reason I noticed a lot of stuttering recently with gsync on and vsync on in control panel. Usually I would go gysnc on, vsync on, cap fps to three below refresh rate. To get rid of stuttering I have had to disable vsync and just run gsync with the -3 fps cap. Edit: Your monitor doesn't have gsync, I would turn off vsync and just cap fps and see if it gets rid of the stuttering.

I have had issues with geforce experience before. When that happens, i would go to my windows profile folder, go in my profile , go to the game having an issue and delete the folder within. Repair game files ( if steam ) and re launch. It will re create all of the game config settings and eliminate whatever geforce experience did to make the games behave badly. I am not sure if this is the issue you had, but it happens to me from time to time.

I have seen it too that by others the "optimization" of GeForce Experience messes the game completely up. Hence it is a reason why I have it disabled and use it only for Shadow Play Recording and the Notification for Driver Update

I know this seems like an elementary troubleshooting step, but have you checked to see if any processes are utilizing an abnormal amount of your CPUs power? I was recently having insane lag/stuttering (with GSYNC on), and it turned out to be ASUS AURA pinning my CPU at 99% for some reason. Just some food for thought

Thanks for answers guys, looks like the NVIDA Expereience uninstall helped with Assaassins's Creed games a lot. But I hadn't time to test it on other games yet. I will soon.. What I tested is Football Manager. I think there can be another problem (may be not card related? but other NVIDA 1080 users seem to have this problem with this game). The match engine isn't graphically very demanding. Yet, from time to time, not always, it starts to stutter (just during the matches). But not when players move accross the pitch with the ball generally, but only when camera move from side to side of the pitch. It's weird, because some matches are ok, some not. I have a feeling, that it can have something to do with alt+tab function or with mouse cursor.. When I alt+tab and leave it in windows for a few minutes, it looks to go away and it comes back in random match again, but not alway.. And when it stutters and I move my mouse cursor quickly accross the screen, it seems to stutter less... but maybe I am just paranoic.. I tried to lower the details, but it's still the same. I attached a picture from match engine for you to have an idea, just how it looks like.. Thanks again guys, for your time.

I also had similar issues on my ASUS build with one of the programs from ASUS suite.. Could not fix it by uninstalling the ASUS suite software but had to reinstall windows... and it would happen again if I installed ASUS suite.. ASUS software is worse then the plague IMO.

Make sure the Windows 10 DVR functionality is turned off. You can run GeForce experience, but you have to turn off its DVR functionality too.
