Remember try at your own risk, this is a GTX Strix bios. It is currently working fine on my GTX 1080 FTW.
Increase voltage from 1.093mv to 1.200mv!

Damn, that's a heavy OC! Especially on air. Looks like that Strix BIOS pushed it to the Max. I wonder how far it could go with a custom loop...Did you get it completely stable at that speed?
Btw I clicked the link and it gave me a HTTP Error 404 - File or directory not found.

If there's an alternative link please share, I'd like to give this a try.

I'm getting one step below that level of performance at 1.081v on an EVGA 1080 SC w/EK block. That seems like a helluva lot of volts to force into this thing for a measly 12 MHz more performance. And is that 70 C under air or water cooling? It would have to be under water, and if so, that's really, really hot for a watercooled 1080.

I can see this being kind of fun to play with for people, especially for people who intend to do LN2 or sub-ambient via phase change or TECs or whatever, but it certainly isn't very practical for normal use.

Link seems okay for me? I just downloaded it again.
    Still testing..

Under any kind of load? I ask because under serious benchmarking or gaming loads my 1080 SC would be over 70 C at lower clockspeeds and much lower voltages with the fans at 100%. I would predict that your load can't be all that high if you're only at 70 C.

If I'm wrong though then congrats!

Ah, thanks for pointing that out. I read this on a 4K monitor, and without the ability to zoom in at all these things people post inevitably look tiny and hard to read on my end.

Just be aware that loading an unapproved bios is grounds for a warranty to be denied. Brick in your card with an unapproved bios may warrant you the world most expensive paperweight. Use with caution.

Until you look at all of the reference boards that may try this without a dual bios... But, whose looking anyway?

I'd never have tried this bios if I didn't have some kind of back up. Or if Evga would supply an unlocked bios, but noooo.

The issue with a "back up" on a single bios card is that the user may have no way of re flashing if they brick the card.

They should not be flashing a bios this risky if the first place. But i think ill go back to the old vbios soon.

I have the asus gtx 1080 strix OC version and I've never seen it get passed 1.09vcore. Crazy how you take my bios, put it in evga card and magically get 1.2vcore?

Pretty nice.. and isint that why evga put dual bios with a switch so users can customize there bios without fear of issues of a bad flash?

Granted one can damage there card and evga would know what's up if you return the card with a custom bios on it when you send it in.

How is this unlocked if the card is perfcapping like crazy? I tried it yesterday on my 1080SC, didn't help the OC at all except for making the temps higher.
Also don't wet your pants if you're using DisplayPort and your screen goes black after flashing - the right DP port will stop working with the Strix BIOS on an EVGA.

The FTW already has a HW switch for a higher power limit. Not sure why this is even necessary especially on air, considering how sensitive pascal is to temperature.

Unless you have money to burn, I fail to understand why anyone would risk a high dollar video card in this way.  I guess it takes all kinds to make the world go round...

Reading his "well I'll just..." justifications, all I could think about was driving like a madman when I was a teenager racing against a friend of mine, and thinking it was actually a good idea at the time. Luckily nobody got killed, but I still get shivers thinking about it all these years later.

Do they still not have a bios editor out for Pascal?

Need an unlocked BIOS for the GTX1070FTW. I have just bought one, hasn't arrived yet, but I am already disappointed at it's tweak-ability from reading forum results - I'm not expecting much unless we can address the 1.093v cap, which renders the cards more or less pointless. Hurry up with the BIOS editor.

if one card is not cutting it, why not run SLI?

I saw one box with 4-way Titan X Pascal get over 400 fps with 4K panel on several benchmarks

considering how many pesos that cost...
