I don't think I have a picture of that specific curve anywhere, but my temps are a LOT lower than that.  50c is too high.

Here's a curve that's going to look very similar....the tighter it is, the better then run, it seems.  A really aggressive curve will get you higher clocks, but many times, that doesn't usually equate to higher frames.

50C isn't too high, not when you consider the case temp is 30C and my ambient temp is 21-22C (winter time here so heat is on) - You would basically have to be running air conditioning to keep the GPUs below 50C consistently, at med-high usage, over an extended period of load... they dont throttle at 50C either, stays right at 2189MHz. I run 3440x1440 so the cards tend to get a little warmer than some setups with everything maxed out. Furmark will take it to 50C real quick, but Furmark isnt even remotely close to a normal GPU load. These cards cant hit 2200+ I tried for a few days to dial them in for that, memory clock will go all the way to 5800MHz though.

It doesn't matter if they're throttling.....it matters how well they're running at those temps.  At 50c, you may be able to run 2200, but it's it probably won't run very well.  Drop the core temps down to 30c or lower, and all the sudden 2200 is running a LOT better, and even well enough you may be able to lower the voltages a little bit.

It's not about throttling....they run better, the cooler they are.  To run higher clocks, and do it WELL, 50c is too warm.  Period.

Er whoops...miss a post!

I saw...he's starting to close in on my graphics score.  Time to roll my rig back outside again.  = P

I discovered setting the fan to the aggressive profile was good for 74 more points on my GTX 1080 SC2.  3DMark still doesn't recognize my card, though:
http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/18223609?

Side note; the run before this, I ran it with GPU-Z running in the background, and that result was marked invalid due to system clock discrepancies. Is that normal?  I mean, my PC doesn't have any system clock issues I know of...

Well its been ages since I've been on here...not sure I even remember how to post a benchmark:
For what its worth my "old" 780Ti's with Full EKWB's and my "old" 3930K at 4.8 Ghz:

Seems 7300 is still a respectable score ;)

Since I have seen some 780's and Titan X Maxwell on here I thought it would be ok to post my Time Spy Score. Hope nobody minds I was able to break 12000 on water only single card. Very Happy!

latest test with my rig.

Score 9 855 with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070(2x) and Intel Core i7-4790K

Still stock 1070 FTW2's just with Power output to 122 and Max temps to 92'C

Seems new drivers tanked my score from last time..
