Hi just installed my GTX 1080 FTW, and noticed my fans on it were not spinning. Everything is connected correctly, is anyone else having this issue?

Update- I guess the fans go on when when it reaches a certain temp it seems. Can anyone confirm?

    Yes it is correct.

Can you set the fan to start at a certain temperature?

Yes, you can either set the fans manually or set the fans on a custom curve so that it automatically goes up and down based on temperature.  I'm sure we have plenty of helpful members here who can show you how to do this.

Not hard to do a custom fan with 0 RPM at certain temperature.
Just need to put the marker, for example:
From 0ºc to 45ºc It will have 0% of fan power.
From 46ºc to 65ºc it will have 60% of fan power.
From 66ºc to 75ºc it will have 85% of fan power.
From 76ºc to the end it will have 100% of fan power.

It's just an example. You can customize it the way you think it's better.

    Case: Asus Z370-G Box / MB: Asus Z370-G / CPU: Intel I7 8700K / Mem.: 16GB (2x8) 3000Mhz Corsair Dominator Platinum DDR4 / GPU: GTX 1080TI FTW3 / A.I.O. W.C: EVGA CLC280 / PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA G3 750W

Did anyone mention that a custom fan profile is usually set through software such as MSI Afterburner or EVGA Precision XOC?
