It's me again!!! I have been busy creating some custom cases lately and did manage to squeeze in time very late at night to do another design for a full tower. Previous designs were great, but I felt access to the rads was a bit tight.

The idea of this case layout goes to Afterburner. Late last year he had mentioned the idea of having the rads mounted this way with the Raven syle mobo. What do you think AB????

Off to the spec's!!!

Dimensions: 24"H x 24"D x 12"W
Mobo: MATX, ATX, EATX, 4 way and SR2 compatible
HD's: 6
5.25 bays: 3
Rads: 2 x quad and 1 x tripple with space on the front to add another tripple
PSU: Dual capable
Fan Grills and Filters: all removable

Design Renderings:

All renders and pic's can be found here:

Well guy's, what do you think? and thank you for your opinions!!!!

I like the turned motherboard tray and the dual PSU system.

Personally, I think it looks great but is much too big for my taste.  I would want something a little smaller and would like better consideration of empty space.  The areas surround the motherboard tray which are designed for watercooling components seem to exagerate the amount of space actually required for those components.

In other words, I would never buy it, but it looks good.

Oh, and looking at the design some more, I don't think it is necessarily a good idea to have all those fans around the motherboard tray area (if you are water cooling).  The three fans on the perimeter (the back of the case I assume) are logical and they would naturally be oriented to blow air inwards and allow that air to exhaust naturally out the top of the case (why rotated motherboard design is good).  But the other three fans between the motherboard area and watercooling area should not exist in my opinion.  In my opinion, that should be a solid barrier to prevent the heat from the watercooling components to be circulated around the hardware.

I love the look.  Naturally, I love all your work...always have.  I'm not sure I get all the functionality, but that may be just because I'm slow.  Here's my initial questions:

    1.  What is the large open slot on the backside/rear of the case for?
    2.  Can you do a render with tubing and water cooling components as an example so I can get a better idea of placement?  Or, if it's easier just explain it to me please.  I'm not trying to be a pain, but I just don't get it right this minute.
    3.  Most importantly, are you going to sell these?  If so, could you PM with price?

The fans around the mobo aren't there for any rads to be mounted, just for airflow if you don't have liquid quite just yet. The 2 x quad and the tripple on the bottom of the case are for rad placement. The 3 x  fans in front will intake and the 3 x  fans at the rear will exhaust into the quad rad chamber. Both quad rads will also intake and all will blow out the top vent.

    Thanks YerBuddy!

    1) which slot? My apologies, but it's hard for me to explain the design...LOL!!!
    2) I wish I could render with tubing (im not that talented) Reservoirs and pumps can go into the rad chamber at the back of the case or behind the mobo in the psu chamber, or underneath in the tripple rad chamber with the HD's and 5.25 bays. Tubing can be ran through the wall on the left side of the mobo through the open slots and can be ran in front or behind the mobo. Or tubing can run under the the mobo and up through the slot in front of the mobo cut into the floor. Many different ways. I added some pic's without all the components to see all the cable and tube holes created.
    3) Yes

Thanks man...here's some pic's, hopefully you can see the possibilities?? I removed all the fan grills and all the vents and windows except for the front window.

    My only questions are:

    1) I is acrylic rigid enough to support 2 PSU's hanging from the top panel, or do you have some additional support planned?

    2) Slide out motherboard tray?

    You're epic :)

    Hmmm...where did my replies go???

Thanks guy's!!! I'll be making it in October!!! My next project!!!

It will be made out of 3/8" acrylic. Black and Clear with 1/4" clear panels on the front and back and 1/8" acrylic for the grills and windows. The 3/8"acrylic is definitely strong enough to hold the psu's. Even 1/4" acrylic is strong enough....many tests!!! There will be red LED's for the interior clear acrylic to give it a red glow.
Not sure the cost yet until it's made and I add up all the parts.

more coming in a few weeks!!!

    Thanks again!!!
