What should the BIOS version be after the update on the 01G-P3-1373-AR boards? GPU-Z reports: 70.04.2E.00.70 on both boards. I ran the flasher and it detected both of my boards. The problem with that utility is that when it flashes the second board the window closes immediately so you can't even see if it was successful or not. I would have liked it better if the window stayed open until the user closed it.

Way back in page 8 or something one of the production managers said that current in production cards come with this update already... So unless you are buying a card made more than 1+ years ago you shouldn't worry about the update. Correct me if I'm wrong...

Its not listed as a approved why would anyone force use it on 1366 and void warranty ?Not to mention the flash would fail as it isnt flagged to accept 1366 ....

well maybe cause u cant force the fan to work at 100%, a 1366 has a limit at 70% fan speed.

Yes i know that already ,its been asked many times this is NOT for any card not listed, doing so WILL void warranty ...that's my point simply .The Flash will not work as made on the 1366 so the only way to do it would 100% void ANY warranty if the card bricks or needs RMA work and your unable to flash it back.Trying it is like throwing money in the wind and hoping it doesn't blow away.

then the owners of 1366 should request a new bios to unlock the 100% of the fan speed.

this far down the road it would seem pointless as the cards are End of Line.Couldn't hurt to try i guess but if its like other products it is not likely to put the time effort and money into a product thats about to be off the market .Hence why after new product lines come out support for older ones drops to nothing ,like the 200 cards,780/790 mobo's etc .Buying old tech you get what you get .

i dont doubt it ,but the truth is since the 500 series the focus has moved on ,its a part that will soon be phased out in the next 8 months i would think .You can ask but i doubt its a priority now that the card has been out for sometime now and the series has moved to the 500's.Just being honest with you .

Alright I just tried doing the GPU bios update and I can't even tell if it finished or not. The cmd prompt screen just disappeared, does that mean its done?! I'm to scared to restart my computer or really do anything. I'll leave this open for a while but if nothing pops up then I'll be taking a leap of faith and restart and install my GPU drivers. *Edit* Well I restarted and nothing has changed, reinstalled drivers and everything working fine. my bios ID remained 70.04.2E.00.70. I guess I've already been at 1.3 this whole time... you think they would besides just putting the update 1.2 or 1.3 they would also put the bios ID and what the bios ID would be changed to. Sure hope they do that with future cards.

@ b4bylon, Yea I've had it OC'd since day 1 with the EVGA precision tool to 822mhz core clock 1644mhz shader and 1800mhz memory and it's ran everything from Star Craft 2 @60+fps to Battlefield 3's beta and alpha @ 30-45+fps with the settings maxed on both. I need a new CPU I think before I'll get any better performance. Anyhow I've found out that the SE doesn't apply for the FPB because the SE has about a 100 less cuda cores so it's not physically the same as the other 460's. I hope this helps somebody. Thanks for the assistance b4bylon, happy gaming.

I have been experiencing Freezing after playing a few rounds of battlefield 3. I noticed overclocks went down the tube with this game. I also realised this FPB overclocks my card but does not increase the voltage. When i look at other GTX 460 with factory overclocks of 725mhz, the factory voltage is 1.0v . My question is will increasing the voltage Stop my pc from freezing in game and if so Will you be updating your FPB bios to increase the voltage as well?

Hello all, I just bought a EVGA GeForce GTX 460 1024MB FPB (01G-P3-1370-TR) off amazon. Still waiting for it to be delivered. I downloaded the version 1.3 FPB for my 01G-P3-1370-TR. I have two questions...before I use it when I get my card. 1) What exact changes are made to my 01G-P3-1370-TR 2) Can I revert back to my original state if I run this upgrade? and if so, how? Alex

If I'm remembering correctly all it does is make your voltage adjustable and gives you a few mhz increase on your core clock, but don't quote me on it.

I'm a little confused I looked for an updated BIOS for my GTX 460 SC EE, that led to this page. I installed this update and it says it installed correctly but I still show BIOS 70.04.2E.00.70. My guess is it's not working. Is there another place to get an updated BIOS, I'm trying to figure out why the R300 nvidia drivers are not stable on my system. Lots of TDR's with the new drivers. I know this post is old but it's the only thing I could find, sorry! Thank you in advance.

Hello. Sorry for my English. The question concerns the video card (EVGA GTX 460 1Gb) and BIOS (70.04.2E.00.70). If there is no drivers on graphics card (up loading the OS) the fan rotate on 40%. Is it possible by editing BIOS to change this value on eg 25%??? After loading everything is fine, the minimum value 25%, maximum value 100% (NiBiTor Mod).
