Hi. I just completed my first custom pc build. Err... that is to say I have put together all the components in my case. I am trying to get her booted up for the first time, update my bios and install my OS. I've gotten into the bios, and now I want to update it. I've already downloaded the most recent bios update folder (unzipped) to a FAT32 formatted USB, and I plugged the USB in. I have clicked on Advanced Configuration --> Extras --> Bios Update. It has now told me to "Select BIOS File." The three choices are Spotlight-V100, fseventsd, and E397_flashtool_103. I believe I should be using the flashtool file, because that's what I downloaded, and I've never seen the other two files before. Now, when I click on the flashtool file, I am again presented with three file choices: FPTDOS, FPTWIN, and 1E397103.bin. All three of these files are contained inside of the flashtool folder, so which one do I choose? Here, I believe the correct answer to be the 1E397103.bin file. If anyone can help me out, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you. It did indeed work.

I will create a MODS RIGS page after I get my new machine fully operational.

So now, I'm trying to install Windows 10 Pro from an official Windows 10 Pro USB stick I bought from BestBuy the other day, and I keep getting an error message during the getting files ready for installation part at 65%. The error reads "Windows cannot install required files. The file may be corrupt or missing. Make sure all files required for installation are available, and restart the installation. Error code: 0x80070570"

I will begin troubleshooting tomorrow. If anyone knows of a fix or has any ideas, please let me know! Based on some very cursory research, it looks like I need to begin troubleshooting by pulling sticks of ram to test if they're causing the problem, or formatting and trying a new Windows 10 bootable USB, with the necessary files downloaded from Microsoft's website.

Status Update:

I have now been able to successfully install Windows 10 Pro to my PC. Apparently, all I needed to do was use a different bootable USB with a manually downloaded Windows 10 installer (the official download from Microsoft's website) on it. Also, since for whatever reason the October 2018 version of the installer could not successfully download to my USB on my MAC using bootcamp assistant without getting an error message stating there was not enough space on my drive ( which I knew to be false), I used the April 2018 version of the installer. Why that one worked, I have no idea, but it did. For now, I'm just glad I can keep moving this setup along.

Time to download all my drivers, and then do some additional stress testing.

I would install the Driver Base that came with the Motherboard (Allow it to Auto Install them) and then update as needed from that Base Line.
I gave up on 1803 and older Windows 10 and just went with 1809.

Cool. So I've downloaded all my drivers, and I'm off to the races! Everything seems to be working fine. I haven't used any stress testing programs yet, but I plan on doing that tonight. Would there be any harm in jumping the gun, and seeing how my pc performs with something like Sea of Thieves before I've ran any actual stress tests?

Welp, my build came out pretty nice. All in all, I am very happy with it! Now, where can I sell this thing for what it's worth? I'd like to keep building and selling to get more experience with different builds. Is there an etsy-esque site for custom pc builders? Oh, and thank you all for providing advice to someone very much in need of it.
