I'm looking for some insight. between the 5970's in Quadfire Vs 3-way Crossfire 5870's What do you think will perform better? at 2560x1600. At the moment Drivers only support single 5870's or a single 5970 because of the onboard controller, so you could use a single 5970(basically 2way Crossfire) to run Eyefinity, but not 2 5000's series. but should be resolved soon with beta/new drivers SO WHATCHA THINK?! post some comments

Why are you post in the NVIDIA GT200 series forums about ATI cards?

I'm say a little nicer than than Kscott, but he does have a point. This for Gt200 card's not ATI card's. Best thing prolly to do is keep all ATI question in General or hardware news section of the forums.

This thread will eventually be moved to its appropriate spot. The Quad-Fire setup would obviously win. Just make sure you run each card in an x16 pci-e slot. End of discussion.

If everyone would read the orignal post, even though it was in the wrong area of the forums. You would have found out that ATi is not ready with drivers for tri or quad Crossfire. As to the question Quad should kick Tri's but with the properdrivers. Just look at 285s and 295s. All the top benches are with 295s.

I have no problems with the 9.11 betas or 9.11 whql drivers with tri-fire. Granted, the performance I know is nowhere near what it should be. He said something about an "onboard controller". I have no clue as to what he was referring to. iride4u, are you talking about Eyefinity when you said the drivers weren't ready for tri/quad-fire? I'm just a little confused by the OP's post and now your post.

I am not much of an expert on the Xfire platform but since looking into your other posts, it seems that you will be running this on an X58. I would stick with the 5970's personally. I hope that you don't judge everyone on the forum based on how some have responded here. As always, I think that people are here to help... mostly! There has been some trolling in the past regarding ATI. Since you have an X58 this is a perfectly legitimate question to ask. Kudos to EVGA for using a board gives it's customers the best options for graphic solutions, and pwnzorz, keep asking questions and you will find people willing to help Regards Patrick

Pwnzor's, I really don't mind what you post about, but the mod's/web designer's put a lot work on section's. So it's up to ALL of us make sure thing's go into right secions, give's mods less thing's to worry about and gives people the chance too find and access thread's faster. and EZLNH8U, as you comment go (al though is not called for) but if wasn't me it would have been someone else, so guess your calling everyone a "hall Monitor"
