Any people here have some good tips, I'm trying to take some new photos for my new mods rigs page, but can't seem to come up with anything good, and can't help but to awe at some of the amazing photos some people have, so where you photo masters at? BTW the camera I currently have is an old fujifilm finepix z10fd I think it's 7.2mp, don't really have money to buy a new camera right now

i know what you mean man my pics are hit and miss, but i have noticed an improvment using the petal screw on attachment seams to cut out allot of reflection and i doubt mega pixals matter that much as shane was very frugal with the upload max.

Sure. It’s really simple to take great photos even with a smaller Megp camera. Its really all about lighting and lens and or settings. 1. Take many photos with the camera with diff. lighting you may have around you. (Light out side the home...daylight if it’s sunny. Or even light in the home) 2. Light box- If you have any poster board that is white you can build one. (Start off with the board and make a box like config around the thing your trying to shoot with the camera. Then add the light to the top of the box. If you don't have poster board you can use white sheets to deflect the light you may be using.) 3. Play with your settings on the camera. If your camera has a meter for light then try using it to measure the light in the environment you are taking the photo in. So that the light is config for the best setting. 4. Tri pod is another thing you might try. And or a table or a stack of books to set the camera on. (With in this you may if your camera has an ISO setting you may want to try to get the ISO to about 1600 if you can while taking the pic if not try to get it some what close to that.) post up some pics in this post so that we can see what your working with and maybe some settings as well. Maybe we might be able to fine tune you photos. Hope that some of this helps most here. I love Great photos.

Thanks for the input, well your pics are ridiculous compared to mine, well if MP dosen't matter much, then It might have something to do with the flash, because whenever i take my pictures from the side of the case, it always overdoes it and everything turns out way too white, while sometimes in a while it will adjust by itself and match what i wanted AWWW Posted 2 mins too late wade, I read it and Ill try to work out somethings right now, give me a little and ill produce some pics

Really most of those were with a nikon s8000 14.1 megp but the only reason they are any good is i take a lot of them and get one of like 20 or so right. I do have a nikon D5000 as well and its a 12.1 that i have been working with but i have alot more setting ops on that camera then the s8000. More manual settings to get the pic right. So the more you take, you will find one that will be really good. Thanks so much for the rep on the pics that i have taken. That is all light and lens as well.

Ok well this seems to be the best pic of the bunch I could find, I don't really have a good setup right now since it's all taken by hand and no good setup, my light source which is a lamp is approx at a 55 degree angle away from the computer and about 3-4 feet away, I guess I will have to unplug and go find a good spot with lots of room and go make that little setup you described, btw the camera is a point and click, and not one of those bulky ones with magnifications and lenses, there are a couple of setting also I could mess around with which are, EXP. Compensation, which apprenatly lightens or darkens the picture, there is also White Balance which seems to change the color of the picture, ISO which I changed to 1600 by wades suggestion, and that's it, Can't wait to produce some kewl pics

Yeah you will need more light and it will make everything pop out. But still yours starting to get it right. Remember take Many Photos with diff light and settings. Once you find the settings your happy with then write them down so that you will have the settings for later on when you take some more. Then let the camera do the work with the settings. Can't wait to see what you can come up with. I really don't ever use flash at all. but that is bc of the light box set up i have made. Really your only going to use the light box to reflect the light to the total image or thing your taking the photo with. I really need to make a how to take Photos for everyone. Once i finally get out of the hotel i am in and in to the house i just bought i will make one for everyone
