So who's folding with the Titan V?  Just so very curious to find out what the actual PPD's this card can crunch.

    From the folding forums:

The referenced Nvidia Tesla V uses Linux to get 1700k PPD/33sec TPF for the 9414/9415 work units.
Your Titan V uses Windows 10 and only gets 900k PPD/46 sec TPF for the 9414/9415 work units.

A later post was talking close to 2 million PPD - but that's still only a little more than the Titan Xp.

Might be an issue where they're not getting bonus points due to not being in the whitelist yet?
https://foldingforum.org/viewforum.php?f=83 does not have an "add it" thread yet.

Could also be a drivers issue.

Now that vorsholk has stopped his abuse, I'm returning to folding.
I no longer MOO due to abuses by certain "whales" in the Gridcoin community - so I now work the Distributed.net project directly again.

I know I saw the V100 in the forums doing 2.7m ppd.  So I am hoping for 2 to 2.2 for the V100 version of a GeForce.

My first generation Nvidia Titan X (p) can pull 1.6 M PPD under water with Windows 10

That is a very big jump in price for a possible extra of only ~400K ppd

EVGA 1080 FE in the loop, is pulling ~900 K ppd

    EVGA 1080 Ti FTW Hybrids, Windows 7 = 1.4 M ppd

When will folding end? When cancer is cured, and all of the other diseases in the world no longer exist. Until then, it won’t end.

    Or did you mean mining?

I’m actually confused by your post, lol.

LOL, what I meant was how many times I tell myself "This is the last video card I will buy", not. On top of that I always SLI meaning I usually purchase two at a time.  New technology is so much fun. I'm just glad that so far (knock on wood) these cards are still backwards compatible with older generation motherboards.

It's a constant struggle all right. I wound up with 3 1080tis and an extra computer due to this addiction. Now i cant afford any more hardware for a while. But that wont atop me salivating at newer hardware yet to be released. Maybe next year when the evga bucks are burning a hole in my digital wallett again.

I went way past the wrong way, and upgrading will never end... ever.

I have the money to buy a few Titan V’s... but I NEED a new car, so I am not upgrading any computer hardware for now.

As my car sits unused cause I spend life in the work Truck, I will trade you a beautiful beemer for the low low price of 18 1080 ti's

Yeah it is an addiction.  I ask my wife if I should quit folding due to the 5.00 a day I use in electricity to do it and all the hardware in the 2 machines running 24/7.  She says well out of a family of 5 three of us are cancer survivors so she says keep Folding.

yep. the work van took a hit too. Sheared the backup cam off, crunched the roof and top of the door and a few dings down the drivers side. My Beamer, well could have been worse. None of the widows broke. The driver side mirror was knocked off, roof behind the moonroof sunk about 6", door dents, hood dents etc. Thankfully they are insured. Could have been much worse, I just pushed the snow blower behind them and put it in the garage. Heard a deafening cracking noise, spun around and saw it happen close up. One branch was a foot from my face.

Sorry to hear about the car/truck, but very glad it missed your head. Can always fix/replace a car.
You guys got hit hard out there. My daughter's power is still out until Wednesday.
Maybe tomorrow since your power is back. There is a mess of down trees by her house so I am not sure.
C.H. says Wednesday. My power just blinked, reset my computers and been fine since.
We will see what this Wednesday will bring, they are talking more snow on its way.
