I have notice a rather annoying fact. With all the recent NVIDIA drivers and 2x GTX470's in SLI, the GPU utilization never normally goes above 45%. Other games such as ARMAII and Crysis I get 95% plus GPU utilization all the time. I could understand if running BC2 on all high and I am maxing the frame rate out, but I am not. The frame rate normally is around 60 to 90 by FRAPS. Sometimes above 100 if in lite GPU usage scenes, but still GPU usage never goes above 55%. There has to be something throttling the cards back. I believe the utilization was higher with older (19x.xx) drivers, but they are less stable with these cards. Any ideas how I can get more utilization to the GPU's I have tried all the drivers. Now using a New Beta driver and it seems to helps some. Uninstalling the NVIDIA 3D drivers oddly seems to help some. I don't have a 3D monitor. NVIDIA Driver 259.09 BETA 2x EVGA GTX 470's SLI EVGA Classified 760 I7 920 at 4.2GHZ 6GB of tripple Channel DDR3. Corsair 950w PSU WD Raptor 300GB. OS Drive WD Raptors x2 in RAID 0. Game drive 1 TB WD Caviar Black. Storage 24" LED 2ms monitor at 1920 x 1080

I saw something similar when I first installed the new drivers. All I did was set a profile in the Nvidia Control Panel and using very high settings on everything. I'm now seeing, with both my 470s in SLI, a huge increase in GPU usage. Upwards of 95% much of the time. I'm not close to my gaming machine right now, but one of the settings was "clamp" and that seemed to do the trick for me. I can't remember the exact settings because, like I said, I'm not at that computer. I'll try to look when I get home.
Maybe some smart guy will answer in the mean time.

What? Both my 470s are being used and SLI does work with BC2...I do not believe you are correct at all. Where did you get this information? Do you have a link? Do you, in fact, own an SLI rig? Are you trying to tell me that I'm the only one with 400 series cards that BC2 works in SLI? Unbelievable!

There have been a lot of issues regarding BC2 and any form of 400 series GPU. Just browze the 400 series forums about "stutters" or under GPU utilization and most of them reference BC2 as one of the worst offenders. No real solution yet, but it appears to be some kind of interaction between BC2 and the 400 series card. It's probably both of their problems, so I guess you will have to wait.

i have the new cod beta and it seems to run smoother on my 470 then bfbc2, althought bfbc2 runs pretty good.
The cod though has a crap lode of bugs , but thats why its in beta =0

You're kidding me right? This has nothing to do with the stutter problem whatsoever. While there may be a lot of issues with BC2, it has nothing to do with running the game in SLI. What I was pointing out to Wanny1 is that he is incorrect in his statement that BC2 will not play in SLI. This is just not true at all. I am playing it maxed-out, beyond the game settings, with the use of the NCP profile. I'm seeing a wonderful usage on both cards and that is the point. Please don't turn this into another thread about stuttering because it's not the case and not the problem here.

My aplogies, I didn't mean to stop our own troubleshooting. Outside (of NVIDIA) eyes can be very helpul in overall troubleshooting in any situation. I mean that we will probably have to wait till a true fix comes out.

I was mistaken in my first post. I did not use "clamp". Anyway, I took two screenshots of the settings I'm using right this minute. I am seeing usage on both cards in the high 90s. I had to take two shots to fit the whole profile in. Try it and see if it helps.

I was just pointing that there are overall issues with BC2, not meaning any harm from it.

Interesting thread. I only selected SLI and away my system went... Always 85-92% usage. But I wonder if that is because I am using Surround 5760x1200? I will look into this tonight... You have me curious...

SLI works fine in DX11 and BFBC2.
Hum well I don't know. I know I tried SLI like 2 months ago and GPU usage was like 40/40%, actually worst than one card. Note that SLI was working in SP with 90/90% usage, but wasn't in MP. If it has been fixed in patches & drivers, cool then. I haven't played BFBC2 for quite a long time ago.
