Hi everybody,
I'm trying to enter BIOS with my EVGA GTX 1070 SC 3.0/LG 27uk650-w 4k-monitor/DP or HDMI cable, but the monitor is blank until Windows starts.
 
1. This is a common problem with NVIDIA DP port patch available, but I've got an error: the GPU firmware could not be updated.
First question - why the patch doesn't work for me?
 
2. Later I tried to update my VBIOS (86.04.50.00.72) with newer one (86.04.50.40.74) found on techpowerup.com for my ID:

Flashing new VBIOS version fixed my issue with blank screen on start, but the system becomes unstable - videocard starts dying with display entering energy saving mode until reboot.
I flashed old 86.04.50.00.72 back.
Second question - is there a new stable VBIOS available?
 
4. Finally switched BIOS from UEFI to CSM, this helps, but I want UEFI mode.
 
Third question -any idea, how to fix this?
