Doesn’t look to be enough time between challenges to test these before the start. Also the 1:00 am starts  are not good and go against nurses orders.
Is there any reason to believe these will run a bit faster on Linux?

I would think that they would find a much better starting time, seems to this is the norm now for a better start time on the other side of the pond.

I think they are mixing it up so its a good time everywhere once in a while. PG is switching their times around too.
There are at least 24 time zones around the world so one set start time does not work for everyone.
If its not a good time i just start early and get a running head start. Hit or miss.

So, any recommendations on which project to run?

Not a recommendation but I will start with a Cul, Woo to gage the time. I’m guessing it’s a little faster than a Woo, based on bonus. I will try both at some point.

CUL and WOO both have a 20% bonus. From what I am reading around CUL FFT is larger than WOO
    and should take longer.
I have a couple systems running the same Xeon E5-1680 V3, and teo systems with i9-9900k and I7-9700k both 8 core Coffee lake running the same speed. I'll run one of each on each system and check the FFT size and times and see what one is best.
Being a 10 day challenge I do not think it should matter but it will give us time to see what one is best.
I may just run WOO to get a jade badge if the points per run time are close to equal.

Got a single CUL task going on each of my AMD Linux boxes now with 8 dedicated threads per CPU (basically HT off), about 40 minutes into each.

I decided to go with WOO simply because it had the lowest level badge. Not much in the way of criteria but it works for me at this point.
