Hey guys! I recommend reading the specs below first before continuing on so you understand some of the LED error codes :).
Usually don't post around here but I ran into some trouble recently. Been eyeing a lot of the B-stock deals and decided to invest in a better gpu upgrade for the time being. My eyes were set on the EVGA RTX 3080 Ti FTW3 Ultra or the 3090 with the same cooler, but I went with the 3080 Ti since it was the only one available. Received it yesterday, swapped my cards, booted it up and it ran perfectly fine. Benchmarked a few games such as Cyberpunk, Resident Evil 2, Final Fantasy XIV; the list goes on. No issues! Did some recording and played a bit more cyberpunk and I noticed this happened later during the day but I noticed some tiny white boxes splashed around my screen as I was playing before both monitor signals gave out. When it came to I had an error message regarding my game had crashed. I thought it was weird but everything seemed "normal" when I tried again. After about an hour or two of that session and before bed decided to watch some shows before going to sleep before my PC just silently restarted itself with the monitors blacking out. Tried resetting my PC but to no avail, my Motherboard's error message kept popping up as "97" with a white LED then a "22" with a red LED on the next reset. After the 3rd reset it just said "0d" with a orange LED and then after THAT reset it just went back to "97" with a white LED. At this point I think I came to the conclusion it was the GPU since I never had these issues ever before. It was getting pretty late at night but I decided to try to troubleshoot, tried plugging in only one monitor to no avail, even tried resetting BIOS settings with the I/O button, no use. After that I decided to just swap out the card and put in my old card and viola booted it up just fine. I swapped back in the 3080 Ti again to see if it would boot up this time and it actually did! I finished up my show then went to bed. Now after today and in the morning I wanted to get some dailies finished before going about my day. Booted up FFXIV and it only lasted 3 mins with the 3080 Ti before it gave me the weird artifact white tiny boxes all around my screen with a DirectX error message popping up promptly after. I tried booting it up again a few more times and still. Now I swapped in my old card and typing on my PC as at the moment. I even tried just doing normal web browsing and it only lasted about an hour before it gave me the same issue. I forgot EVGA support is only available Mon-Fri so I guess I'm stuck waiting until Monday before I can get into contact with someone. Is it possible this issue can be fixed without voiding Warranty/Return Policy or just don't bother and send it in as a RMA? Thanks for reading me out! The performance was sweet when I had the card working, so I'm not entirely sure how they'll handle a B-stock RMA if they possibly don't have it in stock again :(
Hope you have a good day to whoever is reading this essay!

Sounds like the card definitely has a problem. I would send it in.

Its a b-stock. Get ready to go through a few of them before getting one that works. I swear there is no QC with b-stock.

lol neither is there any "Quality Check" for standard warranty RMA stock, they got the "Q.C" sticker on their replacement, but its all but lies, card still breaks down in days/weeks/month, non b-stock owners still need to go through multiple RMAs with a scummy company like EVGA
