I might have posted the question in the wrong area. Are the Nvidia GeForce GTX 770 able to refresh at 144Hz? I have 2 in SLI mode or are they to old for the new Gigabyte ultra wide 3440 x 1440 and I need updated cards? They are connected through the DP cable and win 11 settings will not show more than 60hz in advance settings.

Thanks in advance for any input

Max pixel clock on a GTX 770 is 540. 3440x1440 @ 100hz would be 531 pixel clock, so that should work. 3440x1440 @ 120hz would be 644 pixel clock which would not work, so 144hz would be even greater than 644 pixel clock, so no it won’t work. You should be able to get at least 100hz refresh rate though.

Thank you, its seems that no matter what I do win11 will not recognize the monitor above 60hz tried all the cables reversed them still with no luck is there a driver or different cable? I am still running the same rig as in my heat ware could it be a win 11 issue?

In the NVIDIA control panel bump the resolution down one setting (2560 x 1440) and then set the refresh for 100 hertz and see if that setting works (troubleshooting).

AMD Ryzen 9 7950X,  Corsair Mp700 Pro M.2, 64GB Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5  X670E Steel Legend, MSI RTX 4090 Associate Code: H5U80QBH6BH0AXF. I am NOT an employee of EVGA

Yes that worked perfect refresh only offered 120 hz which worked fine. I'm in the market to upgrade the cards but wanted to see what the issue was first. Is this a restriction because of the older cards?
