RTX 3080 FTW3 Firmware update

I have just received my RTX 3080 FTW3 (replacing my GTX 1080 ti FTW3) and on powering on the system I got a msg from Precision X1 to update the firmware, and do not turn off the pc until complete. PC has still not restarted or gone back to a normal screen after 30 mins, should it take this long?

    You should be fine , the actual time it takes for firmware to take/install is relativly short , like about 1 minute or so 3-5 minutes at longest (based on myself and friends experiance) .

    * Sound Blaster AE-5 - Bluray

    Thnx for the reply, I got bored looking at a black screen so eventually rebooted the pc. It once asked again for the firmware update, this time, like you say, it took a few mins and seems to be working fine now.
