Hi, Just purchased and installed a Geforce RTX 3080 XC3 12G-P5-4868-KL.

I installed it with the radiator a the top of the case and two separate 8 pin power cables. GPU temps 29c. Noticed that all three fans come on at start up but the one on the card powers off after about 5 or 10 seconds.

checked for latest monitor and motherboard updates.

installed and reinstalled latest drivers with clean install, even went back one driver.

When into control panel and set max performance and debug checked.

It happens constantly windows, browsing or gaming. I'm thinking card might be bad but want to try everything before I make the call.

BTW my previous card had no issue 1060.

What kind of cable are you using between the card and monitor? There have been a lot of reports of bad cables on the market not working well with newer cards and monitors.

6Q6CPFHPBPCU691 is a discount code anyone can use.

The card fan shuts off way earlier, especially in Normal switch bois. It lags way behind in the heat curve, Try linking the fans and make a custom curve and it should stay spinning, I always set a floor of 30% and it keeps cool and blows the card down after a heavy load.
