well if history serves, no 9am eastern drop most likely means noon...or 3pm

The 9am EST (6am PT) drops are usually only brand new GPU launches that are across all AIBs. EVGA specific drops (like motherboards) are almost always 9am PT (noon EST).

That is tear jerking. I bet your lower jaw dropped seeing nearly double the performance.

Imagine me moving up from my 3770k to my 12900kf sitting in a box.

I was actually considering getting Asus’s $110 1700 mb and 16gb of cheapo DDR4 ram to get me going until there is EVGA stock for me

I am in the same boat as you are. I also am still running a 3770k with a 12900k in a box. Just waiting patiently for who knows when.

Very, very nice build. A "dream build" even. 12900K is pretty amazing.

Re: Introducing the EVGA Z690 Motherboards - The Ultimate Choice for PC Gaming 2022/03/02 05:43:33 (permalink)
I've had my CPU sitting in a box for almost a QUARTER of a YEAR lol.

Does anyone have a slight range of when a classy or dark are coming in?  If someone mentions it's en route in the middle of the pacific, ok fine.   I'll wait it out.  But if the reply is of the "soon" with no clue as to when, I think I'm just going to buy a cheap mb for now to at least enjoy my cpu until the EVGA goodies come in.

As much as I hate spamming him, sometimes asking Jacob nicely on Twitter will give the best estimate. It's almost always just a best guess estimate, but sometimes he can narrow down "more within two weeks" or "we're about 4-6 weeks out" type of thing. Gives you a clue anyway. Then it's just a matter of not knowing how many there actually are or how many people are ahead of you.

I love it. It’s amazing how giggly we all get with these things. I’m about to move my 3080 from my 3770k over to my 12900kf. Sadly, not on an EVGA board…for now. I did a bunch of benchies, and I have a feeling I’m going to be picking up my lower jaw from the floor with the differences.

Hello EVGA,

I like to thank you cordial for the Z690 Classified. Especially your engineers, who designed it. It's a true "Classified". It's something special - like your boards from back in the days! I'm very glad I bought it. Please, keep on with your good work, and stay healthy, safe and sound!

- Regards

Will there be any promotion on Z690 motherboards the same way there is one now for X570?

They ran a 50% off promotion for 6 months or so that ended a few days before the 13th gen launch.

I missed that promo. Do you think there will be another promotion in the future? Black Friday or Cyber Monday? How was it with z590 dark if anybody knows?
