I just hit Step 5 on my RTX 3080 Ti Step-up to an RTX 3090. I want to send in my 3080 Ti (12G-P5-3967-KR) immediately but I bought it locally and don't have an appropriate shipping box or packing materials to send it in. Is there a specific box and packing material you would recommend sending my card in?

Here is what EVGA recommends https://images.evga.com/warranty/shipping/GPU_US_Shipping_Guidelines.pdf.  If you have an office supply place near you, i.e., Stables, Office Max, UPS store, you can get supplies there.  Lowe's and Home Depot sell packing materials also.

Just get a strong box big enough to hold the GPU with space for for packing material.  Whatever you use for packing material, just make sure the GPU is sitting in the middle surrounded on all sides and can't move.  Treat the process like you're shipping a large crystal vase somewhere.

With the box closed, you should not hear anything rattling around when you shake it.

Take a picture of the item just prior to putting in bubble wrap or other materials. Once in the box and taped well, take another picture.

I love uhaul double wall boxes, they are the best. packing peanuts are great for a bottom and top cushion as well as the sides. As mentioned above I would also wrap in bubble wrap as well.

For shipping your RTX 3080 Ti, the best choice would be  . These boxes are sturdy and provide good protection for delicate electronics like your graphics card. You can easily find them online or at local shipping stores. Make sure to use plenty of packing material like bubble wrap or foam to cushion the card inside the box. This will help prevent any damage during transit.

I don't think they have been waiting more than 2 years for a better recommendation.
