Note in Step 13 ^^ says:
 
"Do step 14 (legacy BIOS) or step 15 (UEFI) below depending on if you are
installing with or without UEFI."

    Set the MB BIOS to use UEIF ... before you install the OS

    Also -- turn OFF: Fast Boot in BIOS & Disable CSM
     
    the real issue is you Need all of your hardware to be fully UEIF compatible - with these settings
     
    I would also only have your Boot Drive installed, until after the OS is loaded

    yes. (disable fast boot ) excellent. and yes (Disable CSM) excellent.
    ^^ pages 52 and 53 of z690 MOBO manual.
