I have an intel NUC Skull Canyon with a Sonnet eGPU.  The eGPU has a 500w PSU.  All of a sudden I turned on my pc and the fans went full speed and no video.  I tried reseating the card and replaced the PSU with no luck.

Also, lost the reciept.  Can it still be RMA'd?

Any help or suggestions?

Have you tried the GPU in another system?

Have you tried another card in the Sonnet?

Did you register the card with EVGA?  If you have not, then you should do that now.

Did you purchase the card from EVGA or an EVGA authorized reseller?

The worst case scenario as far as warranty, i.e., you bought it from a non-EVGA authorized source, is that the three year warranty would begin on the date it was shipped from EVGA.

If you are in the three year window then you can RMA.  Here is the information to get you started:

    Warranty:  https://www.evga.com/warranty/graphics-cards/

    RMA Info:  https://www.evga.com/warranty/rmaprocess/

RMA Step by Step process:  https://www.evga.com/support/rma.asp

You start first by registering your card.  If you do not have a receipt or invoice, you will have to type up one basically stating you are the owner, full SKU number (model), serial number, and the date you purchased the card (best of your knowledge).  It is just to show you are the present owner of the card.  If you purchased directly from EVGA, they can probably find the record.

Follow all the steps and you should not have any problems.

    Best of luck to you.

oh wow, great info!  I did not try it in another system as I don't have one BUT, I did install my old 1060 in the eGPU and it worked, no problem.  I replaced the 500w PSU with a 850 and a 650 and the 2060 had the same issues.  I did register it today and there are 281 days left on the warranty.  I purchased the card second hand from the original owner who is trying to track down the receipt or at least a screen shot of the purchase. Would typing up all the info and uploading it as you suggest work for second hand?

Yes it would suffice.  Don't over complicate it as EVGA just needs something that shows that you now own the card.  Just think of it as a simple chain of custody.

Yes with your name.  Now, immediately edit your post and delete the serial number.  Never post the serial number for anything on the forums.

No, I took out the serial number.  The part number is fine.
