Fans Not Starting Before 80c 3080 FTW3

Hello,
 
My 3080 on turning on after shutdown seems to have the fans remain at 0 rpm until it hits 80 degrees c. They then jump to 100% usage and then it runs as normal. I know the default fan curve starts the fans at around 60 degrees so I know it isn't running properly. I installed precision x1 and if it runs it seems to be fine but if it isn't the same issue occurs on first boot of the day. Any idea what could cause this issue?

    You shouldn’t have to use px1 for the fans to work correctly.

    Does this issue occur on the other vbios?

    Some people have reported fixing fan issues by pressing the default button then completely uninstalling px1, and rebooting the pc.

    Sounds like the default nvidia firmware profile for fan behavior....
    I would use MSI Afterburner and set the fan profile to the temp curve profile & you should be good.
    IF not, you might need to RMA it for being faulty ...

    Fans not turning on until 80c definitely isn’t the default nvidia fan profile.
