Hi everyone!

I was wondering if I could swap out my 750 GT with a 1200 P2. I tried figuring out through the compatibility FAQ but it goes over my head. Also wondering if the swap is even necessary. I'm upgrading from a 1070 to a FTW3 ultra 3080 with a stock 10850k and 4 SSDs. The EVGA PSU checkers recommends 750 watts but I'm a bit worried I'll be cutting it close.

Thanks and happy new year!

According to the Which EVGA Modular Cables are compatible with my PSU? FAQ, they are compatible..The difference between 'cable sets' is the number/type of cables you would get with the 'sets' depending on the PSU.

It says cable sets for 1300 watt and under "B3/B5/G2/P2/P+/T2/G3/G5/G6/GA/GM/GP/GT Models" are
compatible..So if the 'set' is compatible, every cable is too.

I would use the OuterVision Power Supply Calculator and see what it coughs up as a "Recommended Power Supply"..It's more detailed than the EVGA Power Meter and sufficient overhead is added.

Thanks, I understand the compatibility list a lot better now. The site you recommended said I should be topping off around 544 watts. I'll just throw it in when I get it and see how it works with the 750. Thanks again!
