Hello all - wanted to get input on safely overclocking my RTX 3090 FTW3 Ultra. So far, I have:

  • Installed the XOC BIOS (just for the OC switch, keeping 'normal' as default for now).
  • Increased power/temp target to max
  • Stepped through clock increases on GPU and memory until Unigine Superposition wouldn't launch or crashes on a run
  • I have not touched the voltage slider at all
Right now, I've gotten to +200 GPU, +1000 memory with a Superposition score 9.26% above my stock score.

Is this safe? Any issues with long-term health of my card running it with this setup? Planning on putting a waterblock on it once I can order one.

Thanks much,

I will add - I tried using the scan feature in Precision X1 and it rebooted mid-run twice.

Yeah I cannot get it to scan it either fails or goes to a black screen were I have to reboot every time I try it.

Got the OC beta Bios the best stable clocks I can get is 125 boost and 800 ram. Its nice that you are getting +200

    Following.

And also a question, if one is planning to add a water block and substantial cooling loop, is the RTX 3090 FTW3 Ultra the best starting point for over clocking?
