What the heck? I got into the queue for a 3070 TI on 9/14, but when I got the availability email today 9/28 it was for a 3060 TI??? Did I just get offered an alternative because I somehow was bumped from the 3070 TI queue, is there even anything I could do about this?

But I definitely received a confirmation email for the 08G-P5-3783-KL, I never even queued for the 3060 TI

You can check your notifies here https://www.evga.com/community/myNotifies.asp. Your position for the 08G-P5-3783-KL has not yet been reached. You had only signed up for that part number 2 weeks ago.

That link forwards me straight to the shopping cart...I don't even recall joining the queue for 08G-P5-3667-KL, and there it is in my email from 3 months ago. JEEEZZZUUS 3 months is a long wait time!

You are likely going to wait longer than 3 months for the 3070 Ti.

That is a tough decision. Will the 3060ti meet your needs, and would you be willing to resell it later if you decide to get the 3070ti when it does become available? It’s a tough decision, but you have a little bit of time to make it.

I mostly game on my PC but I'm also using it to animate some small projects in Autodesk, I'm currently using an EVGA GTX 1080 FTW (08G-P4-6286-KR), would that be a considerable upgrade or not?

Funny enough, when I actually got that link to the myNotifies to work it said I actually did it back in December 2020, I just got an email 3 months ago saying they were no longer doing the 08G-P5-3667-KR so they moved me to a queue for the 08G-P5-3667-KL.

sounds about right I belive the que is on 12/01/2021 at least last reported. hopfully you bought that 3060ti as the 3070ti may be a long wait.

Just dont miss the notification when actually available. I missed 2 of them because of work. First one by 2 hrs for a 3080 way back in Nov/2020, and then just last week for a 3070-KL by 6 hrs. Fortunately my son had his name on a 3070-KR XC3 Ultra and I got that one. Man, I could have had a 3080-KR for MSRP.

once you notice you miss them you could just reply the the email and evga would help you out. not sure about the one from two months ago but you may have a chance with the 3070

I'll make a suggestion - take what card you can get & just use the Step_Up program to a better card you want ....
