    I just purchased through EVGA

EVGA superNOVA 1300 P+ Power Supply

It cost me 299.24 USD because i used a few coupon codes.
It included free shipping which was UPS Worldwide Expedited which for us Canadians is Fantastic as this morning I got an email from UPS detailing the charges.

It appears when using UPS Worldwide Expedited the customs charges are waved and you just pay taxes and $10.50 in brokerage fees.

This was a very good day for me as I was expecting to pay ALOT more.

This is what the charges were:

    Payment Information

    Payment Method:EVGA CORPORATION
    [PAYPAL]

    Import Charges

NOTE: the total value used for calculation of all Duty-based fees is 0.00.

    UPS Customs Brokerage Charges:10.50

With UPS it has to be shipped to Canada with the right service. It it is shipped with just UPS Standard they ding your though the nose.
Before I bought the PSU a few days ago I did some research on the service the EVGA used for the free shipping and I was pretty confident that the charges would not be too bad otherwise I wold not have purchased however the charges came less then I expected. All I knew from the UPS website was that where would be no duties owed.

It really depend on what you are buying. It's not worth it if you are buying small items which are on sale as you may end up paying more on duties than the cost of the product.

There are no customs or duties on electronics coming into Canada. If you are charged extra for that you should appeal. You should only be paying taxes + a small brokerage fee.
