Just saw on Square Enix's main page that they are having sign ups for their next MMO, FFXIV, http://entry.ffxiv.com/na/index.html You have to be 18 and you do need a Square Enix account to sign up for it. Good luck to everyone that signs up for it. EDIT: On the fan site question, just pick the last option (Excluding those who have an actual fan site lol)

Hanni Imagine me giving you a pink ribbon for this. Thank you. Pink ribbon accepted :) and no problem. Also, from looking at the application it seems that there will be a PS3 beta as well.

Thank you very much sir! I have submitted an application and hopefully I get picked. To be honest didn't like FFXI so much and didn't play it for very long, but I hope I get a chance to try this one out for myself and not hearin git from word of mouth hoping it dramatically changed I might actually enjoy this one much more.

InputUsername Signed up, thank you for the link. For Europeans: substitute "/na/" in the URL for "/eu/". When I clicked on the link it asked me first my location, it let me choose Europe, Asia, NA, or whatever. But when I tried to pick Europe, it would give me an error "not right location" or something, lol. Well, I'm in South America, makes sense.

I'm one of those crazy people that liked FFXI so I was pretty excited (and surprised) to see this being announced when it was. The fact that they're altering it from the original is probably good too, given that I can't exactly put in what FFXI required, these days. I'm curious to see how this one ends up turning out, too. I actually already applied the second I heard about this last night, but props for getting the tip up anyway! ;-)

kscott190 I liked FFXI too but it got too slow paced for me and it didn't seem like there was as many ppl on I don't think it was so much that there weren't people on, so much as it was the large variation in levels, and the forced grouping. So, not only did you have to wait for a spot to open (or start actually making a group yourself), you also had a more limited selection of people in your level-range. And tanks were like some sort of rare treasure... I ended up leaving mostly because it seemed like everyone lost the ability to speak. When the game came out, I had a blast in groups simply because while playing, there was usually some great banter going on. However, as time went on, there ended up being less banter and more macros telling me what to attack, and when someone was about to use a weapon skill (and no one would skill chain off it anyway!)

Ok, seems open beta has no NDA until you've entered it if any at all so i guess i'm free to say i've been accepted - the beta page will open tomorrow (10th of June). Anyone else got in? We need some EVGA representation! :D Edit: my bad, seems it's still closed Alpha, but the NDA doesn't apply until you've registered as a tester so we're still free to say whether we've been selected.
