    Using dp port correct?

I ask this because I have g7 and hdmi is limited to a certain refresh. Also are you using a vesa certified dp cable?

I'll add - you need a certified cable for max speeds

Make sure to have a Proper DP Cable, I had a G9 with a 3080 FTW3 and didnt had any problem, make sure also that your monitor is running version 1008.1 or newer (go into information in your HUD on the monitor) if its running lower firmware you will have to upgrade via USB in order for it to display 240hz properly

Same monitor and same 3080 ti FTW3, exactly same problem.

Work around would be CSM enable, but u lose rebar.

DP cable come with the monitor, so I guess cable won't be an issue for that. Need a new VBIOS for 3080ti apparently.

The 3080Ti can only run 120hz at 4K dude. It is not compatible to 240hz.
Please check the spec page of the GPU

The abuse of power that seems to create the most unhappiness is when a person uses personal power to get ahead without regards to the welfare of others, people are obsessed with it. You can take a nice person and turn them into a slob, into an insane being, craving power, destroying anything that stands in their way.

The Samsung Odyssey G9 is a 2K monitor with a max resolution of 5120x1200 @ 120Hz or 240Hz. Download the latest Samsung Odyssey G9 monitor firmware > https://www.samsung.com/us/support/downloads/?model=N0054074 It corrects the problem with black screens @ 240Hz with the 30 series graphic cards. At least it did with my Asus 3090 Stike OC.

I have this monitor, sure is a lot of ppl in this thread that don't know what they are talking about.

    - Make sure you have the latest firmware installed on the monitor, should be 1010.2.
    - Install the latest Nvidia drivers.
    - Turn off HDR in Windows, as you can enable it in many games that support it manually and it sucks inside of Windows.
    - Lastly, in Nvidia Control Panel under Display > change resolution make sure you're set to 5120x1440 and select Use Nvidia color settings and set it to Highest, 10BPC, RGB, Full.

Good luck on not having your system reboot when resuming from idle, however, which seems to be an issue lots of ppl including myself has.
