As discussed in two or three threads i have seen in these forums i can confirm that today i was told the same thing in that if i need an RMA i have to pull my Hydro Copper block off (that "EVGA" makes and sells) and put the AIO back on my 3090 KINGPIN. I mean i'm confused, did EVGA not sell a KINGPIN Hydro Copper SKU? (spoiler, they did) sooooo why do i need to take the water block off and put the AIO back on? A hoop to make a customer jump through to see if they can get out of an RMA?
They literally sold a HC KINGPIN SKU so what is the difference? Does the Hydro Copper kits they sell for the KINGPIN missing some diabolical part that the "factory" HC have?
Seems pretty unreasonable especially when 1. they sold a HC KINGPIN SKU and 2. They sell a HC KINGPIN kit.
So long story short kids, Don't buy an AIO card if you have any remote chance you might go HC.
