Compatibility and enough power?

Hey all, I just ordered a 3090 FTW3 for my system, running a 3700x with PBO enabled. I read that 1000w psu should be just fine. I currently have a G3 supernova 750, I just wanna swap to the G3 1000w. Are the cables compatible to do a quick swap out or do I need to rewire the whole pc?

    See Which EVGA Modular Cables are compatible with my PSU? in the EVGA FAQs.

    Cables for BA/B3/B5/G2/G3/G5/GP/GM/P2/PQ/T2 units are compatible/interchangeable.
     
    The cables are compatible, so you can just swap out the PSU itself.

    EVGA specs recommends a minimum of a 750 Watt power supply when running an RTX 3090 FTW3 ULTRA card..Use the OuterVision Power Supply Calculator to get a good estimate of your system's wattage need and recommended PSU.

    Thanks for the reply bob. That’s great news for me! Reddit was showing a lot of different answers mostly saying I should run the new cables that come with the new psu. Aside from running one more 8 pin for the FTW, this saves me some time to get up and running!
