Has anyone seen any news on this?

I've emailed EKWB customer service who had the official response of "probably" when asked about a FTW3 Water Block.

I've tried directly asking Jacob or EVGA on twitter multiple times if/when we will get stand alone HC blocks but have never been answered. I've also never seen anyone else who has asked get a response either.

So @EVGA, for those of us who have an FTW3 Ultra will we be getting a stand alone waterblock any time soon?

Jacob has said the Hydro Copper and Hybrid cards should be out mid/late November [link], and the hybrid kit about the same time [link]. I'm assuming the HC blocks should also be available around the same time...  at least I hope so!

He actually only said hybrid kit. Mysteriously excluding water block from that comment. When asked directly about the block specifically nobody at EVGA has answered.

Sorry I had already edited my post, then I saw your reply. I'm in the same boat. Maybe he'll respond to this thread...

EK are working on one, you can see "coming soon" when you select the card on their Configurator.

Jacob posted an entire thread on it -

I imagine the supply of waterblocks will be greater than the supply of GPU chips, so I don't see why it wouldn't be offered standalone.

He only has the OP in that thread. We already discussed that and another thread above... he only confirms the HC cards & Hybrid cards coming mid/late November, and in another thread only advises that the Hybrid kits will be around the same time, but does not in any thread advise if or when HC blocks (standalone) will be available. I would normally assume it will be at the same time, but I've learned not to assume anything after waiting for a Titan X Pascal hybrid kit for nearly 9 months beyond the date it was expected to come out.

No ETA, as confirmedby EKWB support. Not even on the roadmap right now, although the xc3 is getting one soon. EKWB has taken 12 months or more to create FTW3 blocks in the past.

Thanks. I was hoping for something maybe a bit more official but that is a promising start, thanks for the link.

Hopefully someone from EVGA can chime in here and clarify regarding the stand alone HC block too. I don't really care where I get my block from be it EVGA, Alpha Cool, Byski, Barrow or EKWB. I just want know what is coming with some actual (even if not solid) dates attached.

    No problem.
I sent the guy another Q to maybe get an estimate of some sort.
    Lets hope he responds :)

Exactly this. The thing is, in the Hybrid kit thread, he clearly states that standalone kits will be available. In the HC Thread, he doesn't. This coupled with a tweet I read a while back (Which one of the only ones Jacob replied to about standalone HC Blocks) where he said standalone blocks are TBD, are what stand out to me. The tweet left a bit of room for interpretation as to whether the TBD was referring to the release date or the product itself, but I took it as the block itself was TBD whether it was too be released, and so did a few others on this forum.

Yep that's the boat I am in. No company, even EVGA has made any official statement about a 3080 FTW3 water block and that has me a little concerned that it may be a while.

Can someone from EVGA respond to this? We've seen confirmation on the HC cards, Hybrid Cards and Hybrid Kits but not on the HC block. Would just be great to hear something.

This is great! Tbh I missed it in the comments the first time around and got disappointed and then I reread the post lol. I'm hyped now.
That kinda forces EVGAs hand to grab those sales. Now it's up to design, eh?
