Hello,
I have a 3080 TI FTW3 and run a underclock of 900 MV at 1950 clock. Seems to run pretty well and fans stay around 60-65% and temps 70 C and under.

I have a custom fan curve setup in Afterburner and it acts wonky at best. If I try to set the fans to around 30% at temps between 30-40 C the 3 fans will spin and then stop and do this over and over. If I set them to 0 fan speed at 40 C then they just stay off even past 40 C. It tends to idle around 40-42 C (is this an OK temp for idle? no fans spinning). They do spin up just fine when under the actual load of a game though.

Any suggestions on how to get the custom fan curve to actually work in MSI Afterburner? If someone could post their curve and the settings they use for this card I'd appreciate it.

You could setup your card using afterburner and then open PX1 and it will use the undervolt setting from afterburner and then save it in PX1 under a profile.. then setup your fans in PX1 and go.

I just saw that post so I'll give it a go. Will I have to open Afterburner after every fresh reboot on my PC? I don't have it setup to start on boot.

I couldn't get it to work with just opening X1 after. I did the undervolt via PX1 and set the fan curve and everything seems to be working OK.

First create the curve in AB.  With AB running and a voltage curve applied, you then start PX1, open the curve editor in PX1 and save it to a profile with out making any changes. Then exit AB. Also, if you already have a profile starting with PX1, it will over write the one you created with AB. So make sure you start PX1 with no profile loading when it starts.
