Jacob said on twitter it will be a matter of weeks, in October. No telling what kind of volume though.

5 cards to ebay bots then wait 3 months for more stock most likely

At least Hybrids are niche and Hydrocoppers are very niche... that might not trigger as much of a bot onslaught, still an onslaught but maybe the site would stay up at least :D

And evga will be totally cool with that, they don't seem to care if it's bots or longtime loyal customers who buy the card, as long as they get their money.

One way EVGA could fight the bots is to create a waiting list. You would need to have an EVGA account (no new accounts) and basically you sign up for the 30xx hybrid in their product page. When they release the model you signed up for, they send an email with a link to purchase it to the people on the waiting list an hour or so before the sale becomes public. If you miss that window set aside for EVGA account holders then that's on you.

That is easily circumvented with a short Python script. Even though it says one only account per person, ultimately it would rely on individual evaluation of orders like Nvidia has to do. Considering they wont even implement captchas for ordering, I doubt the manual labor is gonna happen.

What of that link required a code to be entered to be able to access it during that hour? The code would be sent along with the email

All we know is "October" so far. Kits are TBD, so they might be being made or might not.

you mean something I could easily extract into a variable using something like BeautifulSoup and just plug in on a webpage? I guess making it an image containing the code would make it more difficult but then we are just talking about captchas.

Slightly related, but have they said how big the rad is for the 3080 hybrid? I heard 240 for the 3090 and 360 for the kingpin but I'm crossing my fingers for something that'll fit in my itx.

Sounds like the 3080 hybrid will be 240mm as well.

If it is not a 240mm or larger, I would be worried...

I have seen 240mm quoted as the rad size in several places, I would be suprised if it was anything else.

I'm not sure if the time frame has shifted on hybrids, but last week the responses from Jacob indicated Hybrids october, hydrocoppers in Nov. Has anyone from EVHA said anything bunching both into that same timeframe?
