Finally putting the last touches on this, I think. ;) Different loop for CPU and GPU.

That's the right way in my book, I have never run CPU and GPU in a single loop. Nice

EK Quantum Kinetic TBE 200 on the CPU with the VTX 160 on the GPU. Pump/res combos.

Radiators are coolstream SE 360 in the bottom for the GPU, coolstream XE 480 in front on the GPU.

Running the CPU loop now for about a year. Just decided on a separate loop in the last month to cool the GPU. Couldn’t decide on the correct parts so just fit different ones by trial and error. Case is a Phanteks Enthoo Elite. Lots of room to work. The flat pump/res I started with looked terrible. I believe this is much improved. Like the airflow through the case too. Using the top as intake for air.

Trying to get an EVGA KP water block for my KP but they sell out too quickly. I ain’t spending $1000 on eBay for a $350 part. :(

Using separate loops is appropriate.  Nice build.  I would cool the RAM, too.  I like to put everything under water.

Yes.  Here is what I have: https://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-ram-monarch-x4-nickel.  I do not have Corsair RAM, so I use these:  https://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-ram-monarch-module-nickel-2pcs.  They both come in the acetal or black finish if you prefer that.

I usually put my RAM on the loop with my CPU.  They usually do not put off much heat, but if you overclock them, the water cooling helps.  I usually use multiple GPUs, so they are always in a separate loop.  I water cool as much as I can.  If I can get a motherboard cooled, I will.  There are not that many motherboards that have water blocks for them, but there are some.

    Why separate loops?

I have one loop, but the pump and radiator fans are controlled by either the CPU or GPU temperature.  Whichever one is higher gets precedence.  What is the benefit of separate loops?  I imagine that if the GPU is not under load, but the CPU is under load, it would be nice for the CPU to have the GPU's radiator available to it.  And vice versa.  It seems with one loop, if you plan for the same number of radiators, you can benefit more by being able to share the radiators for individual loads.

    Just my thoughts.

    Beyond pointless.

The flight sim I have (IL2) uses both cpu and gpu so dumping warmer water into the gpu seemed counterproductive to me. That’s what I was thinking at the time I planned the additional gpu loop.
