Hello everyone,
I have never posted anything here since i joined the EVGA's family (always happy with my cards)
However, i went to a really weird situation today (the logo panel fall off), as you can see the attachments below
It was not a big deal ( re-heat and put it back on), but i find it funny and share-able, so i would love to hear from you guys about this
P/S: i have to admit the RGB of this card is the only downside.

I'm glad to here it was just the logo that fell off, and not a fan, but I got to be honest though, I don't want to see anything falling off, not even the logo, not for $1,500, if it did I would be pissed myself, you're a better man than me, if I'm going to pay a premium price, and I think at $1,500 is a premium price, they're damn sure better not be nothing falling off,

I've seen a number of posts about the fallen logo on this specific card.
Although I agree with you that such a thing should not happen, please contact support, I am sure they can solve it quickly.

yup, i did some research and there are couple cases like mine but worse
also, i don't want to send out my card just because of this minor problem, fixed rightaway.
I posted this here so people can be aware of this incident and try to avoid placing any fragile things below this card (my logo panel dropped right on my psu) lucky it wasn't on one of my fans)

Mine hasn't fallen off yet...but even if it does, I won't care...it doesn't affect the cards ability to function..

and RGB can die in a fire, imo.

I find it hilarious and sad that someone would RMA a card because a sticker fell off lol!! Just get some glue and stick it back on for crying out loud...don't waste an RMA for someone that actually NEEDS it.

here's another idea how about for $1,500 they just buy some better damn glue, you have a list of things that are acceptable to fall off and quit working befor you RMA a card ??? 1 sticker 2 stickers 3 stickers ?? how about two stickers and RGB lights ?? i gess I find it hilarious that for $1,500 you can't make sure the stickers don't fall off the damn card, maybe it's just me I don't think that's unreasonable, your right though when you say don't waste an RMA for someone that actually NEEDS it, because it seems like a lot of people really need it,

On the one hand, I can see someone being rightfully upset over something like this considering how much these cards cost. On the other, RMA-ing the card might result in going from an otherwise perfectly functional card to one less stellar. It does happen sometimes, I'm sure. Only thing is, what it the card needs service down the road, and the label comes off again. Will that cause a problem getting the functional issues resolved?

I'm not gonna try to say what to do about it. I have a RTX 2080 with nearly the same label on it. I'm not sure what I'd do in this situation, though I'd certainly not be happy if it just fell off like that.

In all the posts about logo fell off that i have seen, i did not see any cards get sent out, so "RMA" isn't really an option for them, and believe me or not, people who have 2080 ti ftw3 are smart and know alot about tech??

Happened to me too. Problem is, I have a USB controller card (not a cheap one either) that lives right under the GPU, and this piece was laying on its PCB. Could have caused a short or something if it landed on it certain way. I agree, for $1500 we should not have to worry about things falling off.

The sticker was peeling off of my FTW3, but I contacted EVGA and they sent me a new sticker for free. The new one hasn't had any problems(I did install the hybrid kit, so it was moot, but oh well).

Yup, people should be cautioned when placing stuffs underneath this card ( this is my message about this post)

Yeah I just got home from work and I noticed something laying on the the bottom of my case resting nicely against the motherboard. A lovely metal bar with / Geforce RTX 2080TI \ printed on it, with some adhisive on the other side. Thank goodness for tempered glass side door, a clean case, and that I happened to noticed it before I turned on the system. Come on EVGA, at the price point of this card things like this shouldn't even be an issue.

Glad I went Asus this time, that card looks ugly...

Glad I went from asus to ftw3, because asus is hotter and louder plus I lost silicon lottery completely with it (1950-1980 mhz max) plus asus support is just terrible.

I've had 0 of those issues. My experience has been the opposite. The only RMA that I ever needed from Asus was excellent, they shipped me a brand new monitor and the process was fast and painless. My 2080Ti is quieter than my EVGA 1080Ti... Different people, different experiences I guess.

    Yep.
But support is terrible indeed and that is a fact, not opinion :)
I had an issue with gpu (turns off under load, 100% fans), asked how I can troubleshoot this issue if it caused by software or something I can fix it at home. "We don't know, bring this card to the service center" - the only answer I got from them. And it took them 40 days in service... to reflash vbios. Very effective, much wow.

Plus evga has higher power limit (373w vs 330w) and evga hybrid is way more effective and cheaper (ftw3 version) than asus matrix, that costs like kingpin but work as effective as aircooled strix version. And the only thing asus still have here is cool looking, if you compare aircooled ftw3 and strix.
**and yep, I am asus fanboy actually :)

Decided to search this because the same thing happened to my card. Just found the sticker resting on top of my PSU. Agree with OP, it's not a big deal, but it's the first time I've ever had something straight up fall off an EVGA product.

I just got my GPU last night from EVGA, and the same metal Logo came off of my RTX 2080ti FTW3 after installing it, and running some benchmarks since around 8pm this evening. I really do not want to RMA the GPU, since I got a really good overclocking card that is quiet, but I am not happy about this it at all. I think the only other issue that I have ever had with with an EVGA GPU was a cracked GPU fan that I caught when unboxing. I will call EVGA later today to see if I can at least get a new metal LOGO, because I don't have any adhesive or cleaner to reapply this one.

You'll need to contact EVGA support to see what they recommend or advise.

Thanks buddy, I am going to call them when they open up.

I had the exact same thing happen with my 2080 Super Ftw3 Ultra. Pain in the ass unmounting the card to fix it, my build has no room to spare.

Had the same thing happen to mine. I stuck it back on and it fell of again. It now resides in the desk drawer as I could not even see it before it fell off. I was a little worried when it did fall off as there was something in my case that was not put there by myself until I realized it was the plate. I have a new upgrade going on mine card here in the next week or so. The Hydro Copper water block so I am excited to see if the RGBs are any better on there. LOL
