Had to RMA my 2080 TI FTW3 ultra, and opted to use the advanced RMA service. EVGA asked for a deposit of €1469.99 EUR, which worked out to be £1340.64 GBP in my currency.

I sent in my card for RMA after receiving the replacement card, about a week later, they confirmed receiving it. They issued a refund on my deposit, but it only came to £1276.61
Therefore I lost roughly £64.

I don't see why I should have to lose money on a graphics card fault and pay extra to get a replacement. They said they would HOLD my deposit. NOT accept it as a payment and convert it to EUR and back to GBP for a refund.

I am seriously not happy about this. I can imagine many people from the UK has been screwed over by this incident and treated unfairly.

To be fair to EVGA, what they received is what they gave back. If they wanted to make you whole, they would end up losing money.

Sounds like a good thing to complain about with your politicians.

If the Pound swung the other way and you made money, would you be here complaining about it and asking how to give it back to your government? No. That's luck and the complicated world in which we live.

Hello RockingLegend! Whenever we process a payment and it has to be converted, we have to process using the current currency rate at the time of payment. Unfortunately, currency rates can fluctuate and when we process a refund for a payment, we also have to process using the current currency rate at the time of the refund. If you haven't already, I would recommend contacting your banking institution as many financial institutions may be able to make an adjustment if they see that the refund was for the same transaction. If you have any further question, feel free to reach out to us by e-mailing supportEU@evga.com and we would be happy to assist you.
